otherwise the romms were nice and the area and street very nice. yes, the first room we were offered where in the basement without a window. In norway you are not allowed to sleep in rooms like that. But I luckyli I was able to change the room to a different on the thrid floor. I also thougth it was strange that you had to pay for the room at check in, before you even saw the room. I think when you are offered a deluxe room and it is without windows it is not nice. |

It's location! good tube service nearby. Initial room allocated, was too small and dark, could not access the wardrobe or walk around bed, dark and impossing, requested to be moved , staff agreed and then forgot about us!! staff did not look happy in their work. |

Complimentray wired internet in the room, its central location Receptionists could do with some training in customer relation; they appear to be simply be going through the motion. |

The staff was friendly Although my reservation was for the Shaftesbury Kensigton I was housed on another hotel across the street. The room was very small (in reality a closet!), not very clean, smelly and noisy. This was more of a backpaker than a hotel, but I was paying for a hotel room. After one night I was moved to the Shaftesbury, which is a reasonable hotel. Some reviews in the internet complained about the same problem, thus mine was not an exceptional situation. It seems to me that the hotel perhaps overbooks and then transfers people who travel solo to the lesser quality hotel. At this point travelers do not have a choice as it would be almost impossible to find reasonable accommodation at the very last minute. |

The reception staff were very not very good, and we changed room due to a large crack, and part of the bathroom sink missing. |

The room was far smaller than I expected. There was no window. It was on the ground floor, despite the fact that it was supposed to be a "delux" room. The TV did not work and I when I requested that it be repaired, nothing was done. |

Room clean, bed comfort 1. Took ages to check in; staff don't what to do; 2. Given a room in basement which I don't like, but was told no choices; 3. the noise of air was undurable (turned off air conditioning, but no control of the air venting system. |

The location was excellent 100m from Earls Court Tube station which is on the Picidilly and district lines. Initially we were allocated a basement room which had no windows, we could not stay there it was sweltering and felt very claustraphobic. Then we were moved to a room across the street which had no air con in the corridors and it was 26 degrees outside. The headboard in the room was satin but was stained from other guests this was not good. |

Room was clean, well fitted out and as descibed in hotel details, staff courteous, good location for central London. The room was compact, would have be nicer if a little bit bigger. Air conditioning was ineffective. Mattress needs changed - roll together effect in the middle! |

its location is good for earls court tube. on arrivall the initial room we were given was totally substandard with no window and mould on a rooflight...on complainig this was changed for a upper floor room...we noted that the next arrivals were fobbed off with the room....it should be taken out of service and revert to storeroom. |

the only positive in the hotel was a punjabi gentleman who works at the reception, the rest was totally unbearable what one sees on the internet and the room one gets is very different, it was a dingy, stale smelling excuse for a room in the basement. the personnel were indifferent and unfriendly barring one gentleman |

With an excellent central London location, next to Gloucester Road London Underground Station the hotel offers friendly, personalised service and air-conditioned en suite rooms at great-value prices. |
300 metres from Heathrow Express and an easy walk from the Heathrow Express Terminal, this hotel’s traditional surroundings recapture some of the charm and elegance of Victorian England. |
The Grosvenor Kensington Hotel London is an elegant hotel ideally located in Central London in the district of South Kensington just bordering Knightsbridge and to the south-east of Hyde Park. |
Perhaps the most central hotel in London, located in the heart of the West End at the foot of Oxford Street with the whole of London on your doorstep. |
