The food during our stay was excellent, really good, friendly and considerate staff and the location is ideal for Birmingham, Solihull or the nec. We stayed in the seperate rooms in Gin Alley and the beds were small and uncimfortable, altogether not what we expected.

The hotel was being renovated. This was not mentioned at the time of booking. Temporary facilities were in place for dining and in the reception/lounge area, also not mentioned As I had chosen the location for an important business meeting this was a big let down. The price did not reflect these circumstances.

The accomodation was excellent and only surpassed by the attentive, friendly and polite staff. A very enjoyable stay, I would recommend this accomodation unreservedly. Clear signage at the front of the buliding for Hogarths and Reception.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. You felt you were staying with friends rather than an impersonal hotel. A really excellent hotel with the added bonus of fine food.

The friendliness of the staff and quality of the food. Slightly off putting on arrival because of the extension work currently being carried out.

Beautiful setting. Friendly, professional staff. Excellent standard of decor throughout. Noise travelled - rooms need some sound protection. Woken at midnight with what seemed like people talking loudly in our room, although they were in fact just returning to their room speaking normally.

It was a family wedding, and i was father of the bride. On the day we were looked after by the excellent staff, Thank you Adam & Helen & others. If you have the 8 foot round bed (room) don't expect a good nights sleep! All other rooms that guest had were excellent us, well wife got up at 3 and went home to close the bathroom window !

I loved the personal service. I arrived tired and hungry and reception were kind enough to take my bags up to my room while I went straight to dinner. The food was beautifully presented and the Residents' Menu provided ample choice for dinner at a a very reasonable price. The cooked breakfast was the best I've had in all my years of travel.
