We booked and paid for the hot tub and didn’t even use it as as soon as we checked in we leave and tried to find a better hotel
I also asked for champagne and sweets on arrival as you are not aloud to bring your own drink and we didn’t revive any thing

Went mid-week over Valentines for 2 nights.
Went mid-week over Valentines for 2 nights. The towpath walk from the hotel (Waterfoot Hotel) to the Peace Bridge and town at around 45 mins was lovely (it was a dry morning) as was the bridge itself.
Loved Sandino's quirky cuban themed bar and also the Taphouse bar near the Guildhall (Music/Singer in the Taphouse from 9pm was great on a Thursday night).
Sooty Olive restaurant (Waterside) then Silver Street bar/restaurant (main town) are both good food places to have dinner & drinks - Silver Street being more economical. City Walls a great experience also.

Go in shoulder or peak season. Winter is too cold and bleak.

It is an interesting town between the walls. You must walk the walls, much info is to be found about Derry here.
The Guildhall has exquisite Stained glass windows and an enormous organ. Quite amazing really.
Londonderry/Derry's history is confronting and not so long ago there was much strife here and it is still in evidence.
Generally the food is excellent, loved it.

Quiet place to stay and plenty of friendly people about.
Quiet place to stay and plenty of friendly people about. Good places to eat but not many open on a Monday night. Rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Well appointed kitchen.
Suggest a walk around the old town walls.

Everything was absolutely stunning. Upon arrival we were greeted by Emmett who was extremely helpful and welcoming. We hadn’t been in Derry before and he was very good to recommended things for us to do during our brief stay. The rooms were just so so beautiful and I loved the theme of Irish literature. Would highly recommend spending an evening in the Oscar Wilde room. Unbelievably luxurious hotel for such a reasonable price. You’d be silly not to book here when staying in Derry! So close to the city centre.
I cannot express in words how great our stay was - friendly staff, great food, spotlessly clean room. This is a four-star hotel which in our minds is 5 star!! We were booked for a two-night stay, but unfortunately, we received a phone call stating my wife's mother had passed away and had to check out a day early. The hotel only charged us one night with no fee for the second-night cancellation. For the greater Londonderry and Donegal area, there is no better hotel to stay in, period.
I liked the beds they are extremely comfortable. One reason why we stayed there (from feedback) The room was very spacious especially in a city centre hotel. The historic city walls were outside the dining room window. The food is nice. Lots of different types of pillow choices i.e. flat and full. Receptionist that checked us in was particularly nice, efficient, friendly and informative. Check in and out options online.
We completely LOVED this hotel! It was gorgeous and we had such an incredible room! The attention to detail was really lovely. We were both blown away again and again. The staff were also super nice and very attentive. They answered all of our questions and even gave us some ideas of what to do about parking since parking in the area can be incredibly difficult. We would love to stay here again.
The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. The location was the perfect home base for us, traveling in three directions from the roundabout located close to the hotel. Even though it is close to a very busy arterial road, it is quiet with no traffic noise that we could hear. Restaurant meals were delicious and well-priced and the service good.
All facilities clean and working well, smartly decorated, comfy beds, plenty of space, friendly hosts nearby.
If you have a car it is as good a location as any to tour Northern Ireland - an hour from each of the Causeway Coast and Belfast and 25 minutes from Londonderry city. Handy local store a few minutes drive away.
The location is right in the town center. Minutes walking to the wall and Waterloo bar street, and right next to boutique shops. The welcome Champagne and the warm reception. The hotel restaurant is top quality. The free breakfast has a lot options and is full service.
Great hotel but it has a serious flaw that can be fixed. The “half-way” shower stall causes tremendous water leakage into the bathroom and this prevents you from showering with peace of mind.
Otherwise all ok.
Redgate had the best location just on the outskirts of town (with a fabulous view of Londonderry). The house is a stately and Elish is a wonderful friend hostess. We would certainly stay here again.
The lady managing my booking was amazing, kind and she gave me camomile tea and put me on the quite side of the hotel as I told her I was under a lot of pressure to sleep. Amazing service!
Perfect location, staff were brilliant, very friendly and great service all round. Food was excellent and the cocktails were 10/10. Will definitely be back to the Waterfoot Hotel.
Excellent location right in the heart of the city. Staff were both helpful and friendly especially Simon. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and will most certainly stay again.
The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful and a pleasure to be with. The B&B is located within walking distance of many of Londonderry’s sights.
Lovely hotel apartment and very good proximity to the best parts of the city centre, hotel itself very nice with a lovely restaurant and good facilities
