In a quiet corner of the Nottinghamshire village of Awsworth, this small but well-furnished hotel offers free Wi-Fi, free on-site parking and comfortable accommodations with private bathrooms. The Hogs Head Hotel is in a convenient location, just 1.5 miles from junction 26 of highway M1. Conveniently located for the long-distance traveler, the hotel is about halfway between London and Scotland. It is reputed that there was once an old coaching house on this site. Nottingham, Derby, Ilkeston and Hucknall are all within easy reach. The hotel has great access to the region’s major roads, as well as free private parking on site. This small hotel has 12 non-smoking rooms with private bathrooms, all with TVs and tea/coffee making facilities. The restaurant offers traditional English food, with a menu that changes regularly to reflect the seasonal produce available. Gluten-free options are available upon request. We have visited Nottingham many times to visit our daughter, and this is indeed the finest breakfast and most value for money from any hotel we have stayed in.

We were Greeted at 12:30 am by the lovely Manager who kindly waited for us to check in. We did ring ahead earlier in the day to say it would be 11pm until we checked in but roadworks soon put a stop to that. Cannot recommend the Hogs Head enough for a place to stay. Treated very well from check in to check out. Thank you! Nothing negative to say!

The Staff were very helpful and friendly. We arrived at 6pm on a Saturday and were due to meet grown up children for a meal, but hadn't been able to arrange it ahead. They immediately booked us a table .

Our stay was excellent. Staff were very friendly. Service was second to none. Will be staying there again. Bedrooms were very very clean. Staff couldn't do enough to help us. Food was very good all homemade. Nothing.

the history of the place was awesome! room was quiet, compact and ground floor... nice change. food was very good and bar was well-stocked . reccommended getting to the room was through the bar, so a little awkward. no way to contact anyone after the bar closed, not that we needed to, but still.

The friendliness of the staff was exceptional, from arrival to departure. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was the best I have ever had at a hotel, it has to be tried, believe me, and the restaurant food is just as good.

Room was very clean,comfortable and spacious. Great food served and reasonably priced. Staff are very friendly,helpfull and efficient.Free wifi and parking is a big plus. Will definitely stay here again. Absolutely no complaints.

Hogs head hotel was conveniently located and the room was very modern, nice and comfortable. The cooked breakfast was wonderful. The folks there were very helpful with information about the area. The pub looked inviting though we did not partake of it.

We loved the location, slightly off the beaten track. Also felt the room was very spacious and the bed enormous. The quality of the food in the hotel was second to none and would certainly like to visit again. The shower was a little on the poor side but the bath was great.
