location was good
it looks like it needs a make over its a little drab,,outside main entrance is not good ,,but I would stay there again
Bed was very hard and uncomfortable
The shower kept stopping and the breakfast / full English wasnt wot I would call full.
all the nice things others have said
Room was pleasant and well soundproofed.
No real common areas. Not what one expects for this price range.
We liked the price - we were booking quite last minute (3 weeks before a weekend) on a budget. The room was clean and quite spacious, the bed was comfortable.. We liked that there was a gym attached but wish we'd have known beforehand, so didn't get to check it out! Also, good powerful shower!
The staff member who greeted us was a bit grumpy - admittedly we were early for check-in, but it really set the tone for our one-night stay. The girl seeing us out in the morning was much more friendly and helpful. We didn't eat breakfast there - we had a quick look but it didn't look worth the money so we grabbed something in town. The room was a little bit dated and I'm sure will be due for renovations in the near future..
Staff were helpful
Hotel needs work and updating
staff very friendly breakfast excellent
the room we had decor wise was very tired looking especially bathroom.
Damp smell in the room
Nothing,I would not stop there again.
The whole place needs pulling down
This was our first stay at a Holiday Inn and we were VERY impressed. Staff were courteous and helpful, lovely spacious and comfy room, spotless bathroom. Plenty of parking and lovely setting. Breakfast was 1st class with plenty to eat and lots of variety and choices.
comfy bed. location near to family wedding venue.
noisy lobby and corridor during the night
The full English breakfast
The price of the food in the restaurant at night.
The location of this hotel was very good for my visit to Stoke Mandeville hospital. Breakfast was nicely presented and good quality.
Mould around the windows, socket hanging off wall and loo that didnt flush properly.
Bed comfortable and half and hour to London Luton Airport.
Over priced basic accommodation- limited food options in the evening.
Initially being charged £1 for a glass of water, removed from the bill when I complained.
lovely comfy bed and quit room at the back of the building
confusion with booking, booked a twin specifically but had to make do with double bed and pull out sofa bed
Comfort, clean. Quiet Polite staff Value for money
Breakfast could have been cooked and served much better but it was just ok.
Great value including breakfast (which was cooked to order) compared to other local hotels. Pool and gym available. It was clean, tidy and comfortable. Staff efficient & friendly.
Dining room was very small, although we didn't have to wait for a table either day of our stay. Décor is a bit dated. Ensuite washbasin didn't match bath & loo (but was clean..!!)
bar restaurant facility
The size of room
General shabby look of everything particularly gym and pool area.
Room was good and very clean. Food good but limited. Restaurant staff good.
Welcome poor-was made to wait 10 minutes before being attended to-only one member of staff on duty who was taking a phone booking at the time. Menu uninspiring and poor choice of wines by the glass. Breakfast expensive for the full English
Staff very friendly and helpful
Dining area a bit basic
I had a really lovely time at Watermead, in a huge room complete with sofa and other amenities. Lovely view of the countryside from the window, and a very cheap rate from the internet. I didn't want to go home......
Easy to get to and walking distance of The Watermead for the lake and dinner.
Would not have been encouraged to eat at the hotel. The bar and restaurant area were the most dowdy miserable looking area. It did not even encourage you to go in for a last drink on getting back. The only outside sitting area was with the smokers so that was not even an option. The room even felt dismal going down for breakfast.
