Luxury hotel in Lake District. Outstanding view over Windermere Lake

The evening meal, faultless. The bed was excellent. There is a decent sized fridge with real milk not pots of UHT. The staff are excellent. Parking right outside the Langdale suite. Super view over the lake.

The room decor is outdated compared to rivals, bath is pokey again compared to similar priced rivals. Wi Fi does not reach to the Langdale suite on any of our 3 devices.

The food was excellent, Situation fab over looking lake Windermere.

The bedroom we were given was very small ,in the attic and over looking the rear of he property.for a cost of £160 not value for money.

Pillows a little soft

We really enjoyed the food, the very comfy bed and spacious room, the staff were really lovely and friendly, peace and quiet and the views were beautiful!

Exceptional service, comfort and food with spectacular views over Windermere to the fells beyond. Despite the impeccable standard of cleanliness, dogs are allowed in bedrooms and even provided with a blanket and 2 bonios. Very impressed with all aspects of our stay.

Equipment installed in bedrooms/ bathrooms must be robust, work effectively and reflect the standard of the hotel. For instance, cheap CD players are notoriously fickle and a source of frustration. Either choose a brand like BOSE or abandon the idea. In the bathroom a piece of plastic fell off the shower door.

It was a marvellous place to stay, the breakfasts were filling and gave you a good start to the day. The evening meal, although adequate for myself and served beautifully was not plentiful for my hungry partner. However, the service and the staff were all really lovely and friendly, young and learning and the atmosphere was always, warm and pleasant. I would love to come back here to stay again someday. We stayed in the lodge and the only thing that was wrong was that two beds were made into one and we could feel this. All in all a beautiful place with a welcoming well mannered staff even down to the room service x

superb location and views , excellent staff and fabulous restaurant. Even prepared to have a log fire in damp july! Allowing dogs is an added bonus.

A warm,homely,atmosphere.wonderful staff who were aware of your needs, which were dealt with discreetly.Lots of hidden extras including a hot water bottle.

The views are amazing. The location is up the hill from the main road so you have great views and no road noise, only an occasional sheep. The staff members were personable and helped in every way to provide information and assistance.
