We have enjoyed staying at Holdfast Cottage several times in the past decade and this visit was no exception. It is located in the countryside near Welland, well away from noise and distractions, yet Malvern, with its facilities and services, is only a few minutes drive away. The friendly new owners gave us a warm welcome and were helpful and attentive throughout our stay. The 17th century building has great charm (with a gorgeous wisteria), sits in a large garden, and is nicely appointed. The conservatory at the entrance has comfortable seats and is an ideal reading place on a rainy day. There is also a comfortable loungs. Breakfasts were ample and well cooked. The restaurant offers a good choice and the food is nicely cooked and presented; there is an option of bar meals. The bar is small but well stocked. We plan to stay here again on our next visit to the area. Nothing

A lovely quiet countryside location & peaceful retreat but within easy reach of local amenities. Very welcoming hosts who made you feel at home immediately. A good choice of restaurant style food at reasonable prices plus the option of lighter bar meals & a well stocked bar. Just one small point. The bedroom we had could do with some sound insulation from the next bedroom's bathroom. Very creaky floorboards which sounded like someone was actually in your room and which unfortunately happened 3 or 4 times during the night when we were there.

My one night stay definitely made me want to return for longer. The friendly staff were welcoming without being overwhelming. My single room was very comfortable and had everything I needed. Dinner and breakfast were excellent.

Loved the room,we had a fantastic room, double 4 poster bed, big bath, and could open windows so cool. The food was awesome, had bream for dinner and it was outstanding as was the lemon tart. The bed was very comfortable, and the lounge bar was nice. The owners were very warm in their greeting and could not do enough for us. Next time we are up there we will definitely stay at here again. Small criticism is car park is small and we have a big car.

Everything. Hosts were very nice. Not a million miles away from shops etc but very quiet and tranquil, just what I needed. Very comfortable and clean. Pity I did not get to try the food but was still absolutely full from my stay at another hotel. I slept well which is extremely rare for me.

Very friendly and accommodating proprietor, lovely location with tranquil garden views and views of the Malvern Hills. Well heated during the very cold March weather! great! Very pleasant breakfast room, bar and lounge. We are sure we shall stay again. No shower in our room, but we understand the room will be refurbished.

The hotel owners were very welcoming and showed a genuine interest in our comfort and happiness during our stay. The food was also excellent! The wifi didn't seem to be on although this wasn't really a problem and I didn't ask for it to be turned on.

My partner and I stayed over the weekend for a short break, Wow! what a fabulous place with incredible views, a great place to stay especially if you enjoy the Malvern countryside (great walks!) and a great breakfast!! The whole place is well run and our room was warm, comfortable, clean and well furnished! So looking forward to staying again! don't pass by a stop at the "Holdfast" you won't be dissapointed! We were welcomed by the very friendly proprietor as we pulled up. The surroundings and first impressions were very good as was our room with a great view of the Malvern Hills. Excellent comfy bed! We ate in thier own restaurant as it would have meant driving, but what an experience! I can only say the best steak I have ever tasted with my partners Sea Bream being equaly as good. Breakfast - another delight! localy sourced bacon and sausages and no baked beans! Perfect. Would definately recommend this Hotel. Our only gripe was as its so close to Malvern - some bottled spring water would have made utopia!
