Staff tried their best to resolve the situation.

Turned up and found only one room had been reserved instead of two! Then, after complaining, they managed a second room which was meant for smokers.....! As I had booked two non-smoking rooms the hotel refunded the price of one. Bit of a nightmare at the end of a hectic day, but the staff were helpfull and managed to resolve the situation to the best of their ability.

Usual standard of Express by Holiday Inn, friendly helpfrul staff even though we were delayed and did not arrived until 11p.M.

It was conveniently close to the motorway for the purposes of having an overnight break during a very long journey. The breakfast buffet arangement was fine and the coffee was excellent! The receptionist gave us a very good recommendation for a restaurant.[Duet]

The absence of a restaurant within the hotel - the pub on the site was not quite what we wanted. Whilst the recommended restaurant was much appreciated the absence of any printed directions and sense of direction of the receptionist was very disappointing. We were told a 10 minute walk - its at least 20 and as the hotel is largely in an industrial area it would not be suitable or safe for females to walk at night. Finally I was not impressed to find that I was charged a different rate than had been guaranteed on line and had I not paid attention on checking out it would have gone unnoticed - a definite black mark!!

I had to leave this hotel at 2.00am because I couldn't sleep. It was far too noisy and there was a lot of noise from the residents as well as the traffic.

As I mentioned above I would never stay here again it was far too noisy.

The staff were very helpful, the breakfast included was very good, a lot of choice. The bedroom and bathroom was of a good size, and very clean, plentiful hot water.We were just there for one night and we were satisfied.

I really liked the comfortable bed and was pleased that there was a fan in the room too as it did get very warm in there.

Yes there was an awful smell coming from the drains of the bathroom and it came and went a few times, not nice at all.
