The staff were friendly and served good breakfast however the pictures online were very deceptive and we were left disappointed with the room, it was small, old fashioned and the only power socket in the room was behind a big cabinet and the tv was plugged into it. |

Nice staff. Good breakfast. Useful location. Freezing cold room – heating not fixed when asked to! Would have been angry if colder time of year! |

Location to city centre and attractions. Room allocated was at the top of the hotel - below the water tank. Could hear the tank refilling and other guests thus rating comfort as fair. |

Staff were friendly and the home cooked food was good Single room was appallingly outdated. The 'en-suite' was a broom cupboard and the Olive Green toilet and sink was awful. Shower head was full of mildew and was held up by tape. The TV was tiny and situated too high. Had a bizarre wooden contraption on the wall. Looked like a 1970s remote (over a foot long). Overall the room was very tired and it needs to be completely updated. Definitely not worth £45 a night. I have been in better youth hostels. |

Excellent decor in dining room and lounge which created a smart, olde-world and comfortable atmosphere. |

Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfasts were enjoyable offering wide choices. Evening meal on arrival day was tasty and good value - with the discount for a 2-night booking. Thin walls slight disadvantage - we could clearly hear conversation - and very loud music, and had to approach guests......... Fortunately they were ok and eventually went out (11 p.m.!) returned 2.30a.m. and enough noise to wake us) |

The bed was made ages ago. When you sleep these bugs come and you will start to scratch your body. No sleep after that!!!!!! |

The proximity to the city centre...the staff are friendly and helpful...also the breakfast is excellent and definitely value for money. The twin room had 'en suite facilities'....BUT The toilet was seperate...you had to squeeze in and then close the door....you then had to come out ...cross over to the other side..pull back a curtain (no door)to access a wash hand basin and shower....very strange!! And not user friendly!!!! Also blankets and not duvets on the beds.....that went out with the Arc....not the most comfortable sleep I've had...BUT For the money I paid.....and the breakfast alone...Definitely worth every penny!!!! |

Staff friendly, but not intruding. Location great for city centre, under 10 minute stroll. Easy access to ring road too. Rooms could do with some modernisation. |

Proximity to city centre, clean, quiet, absolutely fine for a weekend away with a reasonable price tag. Shower was hard work, quite feeble, kept going cold and wouldn't go high enough so had to crouch or kneel under it. |

Very clean. Good choice at breakfast. Although it has off road parking, its a limited space so quickly gets full but there is parking on the one way street by the side of the hotel. |
