Voor mensen die van de Engelse sfeer houden. Rustig hotel, vriendelijke eigenaresse en personeel en prima ontbijt. Een besloten tuin met zitjes. Het oude stadscentrum ligt op 10 minuten lopen. Bij mijn volgende bezoek aan York boek ik dit hotel zeker weer. |

The hotel breakfast was excellent, the staff were charming. The value for money was excellent Despite the hot weather I slept well. It is a pleasant stroll to the centre of York, which makes the location excellent. Some of the fixtures are rather old, such as tv sets, and some light fittings. This was not a problem , but I think people need to be aware of it |

The staff and owner recognised me from previous visits. Flexible, i.e. willing to provide early breakfast. Some building work going on, so small disruption. |

we liked the friendly staff and the space and comfort of the room. The breakfast too was good. It took too long to get hot water in the hand basin in the bathroom in the morning. |

The hotel is ideally situated just outside the city to be quiet bu not too far from everything. The 4 poster room was very comfortable and breakfast was lovely. The initial room upon allocation was small and adjacent to two roads with people walking directly past the room window. |

We had a lovely room with a great jacuzzi bath, good facilities and very nice breakfast. Minor point, quite a noisy heating system which was on and off during the night. |

Nice staffs, rooms are very clean. I liked that they have bar inside, and gorgeous lounge. Location was also good, a bus stop is just outside so it was easy to take bus to the city centre. The room was a little bit cold. and sockets for electricity were a bit hiding, so it was difficult to find. |

It's value for money and only a 10 minute walk from the venue where I was working. Staff are generally friendly. The official starting time for breakfast (which is given as 8am). But it is possible to arrive earlier than that. |

The breakfast was good and the room was clean. It was fairly cheap and cheerful. The shower didn't work well in the evening and I would have appreciated being told that check out time was 10:00 or their being information about this around the hotel. Having said that the manager was understanding when we ran over our time. |

The position near the centre The whole place needs a refurb. Its existing purely from the fact that York is popular, and therefore does not need to upgrade as people will always need accomodation. I will never go back, we could barely sit inside the WC. |

It is located near to the centre of the City about a 10 minute walk. Very shabby and in need of a refurb. We were put in the annex of the hotel. Lots of drunken guys kept us awake from midnight to around 4.30 am by fighting with each other in the hotel, losing keys, etc. Nothing was said at breakfast the next morning even though other guests were talking about it. Room very old fashioned. Advocado bathroom suite. Unhygenic carpet in the bathroom. |
