No one told us we could get wifi using the little card. The wifi should be free
Breakfast was excellent
On arrival was given a disabled room. said I didn't want this room So they changed it for another disabled room. I then said if you give me another disabled room I'll be leaving the hotel. The third time I was given the correct room.
good clean room, comfortable beds, friendly & helpful staff, good breakfast. very enjoyable stay. would recommend!
swimming ptcol ,sauna
my bedroom door being left open and my room was not serviced
Very comfortable hotel, friendly staff, best breakfast selection I have ever come across. Cooked, continental, pancakes, everything you could think of
very good breakfast - lots of choice pleasant bar/lounge area polite staff good size room
bathroom décor a bit tired dirty toilet on arrival wifi should be free
Decent value. Huge, super-comfortable bed and a nice bathroom.
Gym staff and restaurant staff
Thought it was expensive
If you travel with your car, it is best place to stay. Free parking also great number of car parking space.
Karl was a great barman! - needs a payrise, please don't take him off the bar! Food ordering was very easy - even though we changed the order - not a problem. Loved the late check our time.
We stayed in room 273 and it was far too warm when we arrived. We tried to leave the window open all day for our second night and even with the fan on at 5 degrees it was still far too warm, this made trying to sleep very difficult. A further downside was how much noise travelled through the wall from room 271, you could literally hear people coughing and blowing their noses
Good Facilities, modern, clean and tidy
Our room was an interconnecting one and our neighbours were up early and noisey
Convenient location Good size room
Long corridors and staircases not good for older visitors The place needs brightening up!
Good size room. Choice of Firm or soft pillows. Very helpful staff at breakfast - nothing was too much trouble.
It is not reasonable to group the tariff as "Standard Double or Twin Room", so that the guest has no control over which type of room he/she is given. I booked two rooms, and believed in my naivety that I was booking two double rooms. When I checked in I was given a double room; My son and his wife arrived a little later and were not so lucky. They really were not amused to discover that (a) they were in a twin room and (b) that there were no doubles available. Their visit - and therefore ours as well - was spoiled. If this is standard Holiday Inn policy, I will not be using them in the future.
The price at £59 double room.
Room was very well equipped and very comfortable. Staff helpful. Very convenient position for travelling to surrounding area. Close to bus stop to Aylesbury so no need to use car. Parking and one way system are to be avoided.
Dinner expensive. Cooked breakfast appeared to be sitting in the pans for a long time consequently we did not have a cooked breakfast.
We were charged (without our knowledge until we got out credit card receipt) for the room we cancelled, four days before on a booking with free cancellation up until the day of arrival. Not impressed at all. They cocked up the booking in the first place then they charged us for the privilege. Poor communication from start to finish.
Friendly staff and lovely hotel in which we've stayed in now twice as we were away for the weekend at Silverstone and its nice and close.
We had an Executive suite which are lovely with extras like trouser press, robes and mini bar, but on arrival we noticed we had no robes and our room didn't have a minibar, we had cobwebs all over the bed lights! I went to rececption and said about the robes and a member of staff came immediately to our rooms with robes, the mini bar mind was a different story and they dont have them anymore, the cleanliness of the room was not like the last time we stayed and was disappointing to say the least, we stayed Fri-Sun so thought maybe over the weekend the cobwebs would be noticed and cleaned but this was not the case....
It was standard
No breakfast included
Helpful staff, good facilities
Confusion over dining arrangements because of a coach party
Restaurant and food excellent
No hot water
Food was excellent Staff very friendly and polite
At the time I stayed it was extremely busy and athletes bustling around everywhere. They seemed to have taken over the hotel and had priority everywhere. NO LIFT!! Thought this was disgusting as I had taken my 87 year old mother with me. This was not mentioned when we booked and we were given a first floor room that was miles away from the entrance. My mother cannot walk very well so this was very distressing to her and therefore me.
Excellent restaurant service
Free access to leisure centre and gym. Cleanliness of bathroom
We went and ate out for breakfast as we thought £12-15 each was ridiculous and not worth it. We got three days breakfasts for 3 for same price as 1morning at hotel for 3. Also beds were quite small and uncomfy but we did get a good lie in due to blackout curtains
Breakfast included in the rate Free parking
Internet expensive unless you join IHG Club first Dinner menu limited
