Superb beds, blackout curtains.
Unwashed bathroom floor & tub. Missing TV remote taking over one hour to replace. Only one chair for 2 people.
Spa and comfort
Location was good to visit Bicester Outlet Village, Bletchley House and local walking routes. Got a deal so value for money for 2 nights with breakfast. Breakfast. Nice big room. Free parking.
The woman sat next to us at first breakfast who moaned about everything!! Expensive if you can't get a deal.
very clean & comfy
Having to pay for wifi
Good size room that was cleaned while we had breakfast. Convienent for Aylesbury with ample parking. Friendly staff.
Having to pay £3.95 for an hours wifi was a rip off. The holiday day inn probably caters for a lot of commercial groups but like a lot of hotels should offer casual users an hour per day free. The breakfast although offering a buffet style cooked breakfast was only warm and queues were the norm with items running out and not being replenished without asking. There just we're not enough staff to cope, and could not be blamed, management should have known the numbers booked and brought in staff to cope.
Nice size bedroom Good size bathroom Plenty of drawers Comfortable bar area Plenty of seating around lobby area Good spa facilities Very quiet Plenty of parking
It took a long time to get checked in as there was only one person on reception and she was busy on a call.
Bed was quite comfortable and spa facilities were quite good.
Cold over cooked breakfast with too many staff doing nothing and ignoring what needed to be done.
Helpful and friendly staff
Wifi to pay for! Room service debris littered along the corridor upon our arrival.
Really enjoyed our stay. Staff were outstanding.
Good location, good breakfast, well equipped bedroom
First room we were sent to was filthy. Redirected to a clean room. bed rather hard. Some reception staff not very welcoming.
Helpful, friendly staff. Lovely clean rooms and comfortable beds. Hotel convenient for the place we were visiting.
Unfortunately there are no lifts in the hotel. My mother and I both have mobility problems and although I had stated that we were disabled and would appreciate a room with not too far to walk, we were given an upstairs room and quite a long walk. The staff did manage to swap this to near the top of the stairs, but it was far from ideal. My mother needs a stair lift at home, and it was difficult to say the least. I do not think we will stay there again.
The cleanliness and the self-contained feel. It was a welcome and relaxing retreat after a stressful day. Although I didn't use it this time the pool looked great. The beds are super comfortable!
The price is high enough that breakfast should be included.
It seems to be a fairly competently run hotel.
Entrance foyer doors to hotel were broken, and need 21st century makeover - very poor first image!
Food expensive and of poor quality Substandard room Wi-Fi availability - or rather lack of it
Took an hour for room service to answer the phone. Ended up trying them about 10 times
Made to feel at ease
The shockingly high bar prices have put me off using Holiday inns again
The price of one breakfast was extortionate. Can't remember the exact price but it was around £16.
Pillows and comfy bed!
You get what you expect of a holiday inn. Clean tidy comfortable with reasonable food.
Paying for wifi is really not good enough when pretty much everyone needs it for business
Having to pay for Wi-Fi Cutlery crockery and glassware left in the corridor waiting to be collected from rooms when we arrived at 14;30 and still there until late at night. Health and Safety hazard !!
No free WIFI where most hotels now offer this as standard
Location great, option to use pool, sauna etc, which we will use next time. Staff were helpful. Room very comfortable.
Comfort and cleanliness. Loved the coffee shop and bar facilities.
Waited for 2-3 mins to check in whilst staff held phone to ear without talking. Kinda weird.
Clean, comfortable, quiet with a great breakfast and all at a reasonable cost.
Staff excellent. Room large, well furnished, light excluded by curtains facilitating sleep. Breakfast excellent and more mature lady who greeted us to breakfast and served us at table was a little jewel. We would be very happy to stay again and would recommend to others.
Heating in bedroom was not working and we spent first night without heating and second with a portable heater that was brought to us when we enquired about the heating. It really did not seem possible that the establishment was unaware of this when they booked us into the room.. The bathroom could have been cleaner, but what really suprised us was that the personn who cleaned and made the beds left the bathroom with coffee grounds spilled all over the toilet lid, and floor and also on some of the furniture in the bedroom./ Also the roomed smelled of smoke and we are non smokers and would never wish to sleep in a bedroom used by smokers.
