Overall a great expierience
Very clean excellent location staff very helpful esp in gym swimming pool area
Didn't use wifi usually free when we do should not have to pay
The staff were, without exception, very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Would definitely return if visiting Cambridge.
Don't think you should have to pay to upgrade wifi - it should be available for free. Can I suggest having herbal teas in room?
Executive rooms redecorated good position for business so will use again thanks to this.
corridors & no lift to get to upper floors one member of staff not in the right job - bad attitude if we did not have IHG we would have to pay for WIFI - not acceptable in 2014
The room and how decent it was
The second breakfast .. I didn't like the sausage
It was a lovely setting, in spite of being very close to the A14 you would think you were in the middle of the country. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good selection for breakfast.
Nothing to not like.
Enjoyed the spa area, was nice and quiet but it didn't fill up in the evening. Comfy bed
Furniture a bit dated
Friendly staff, gym and pool, clean
The person in the room above who paced the room continuously and noisily in the early hours of the morning. But not the hotel's fault as i didn't complain
comfortable executive room; good breakfast; helpful staff
Staff Beds were very comfortable Very quiet room - great Wonderful breakfast
Bathroom a little dated and musty.
Nothing was too much trouble, everyone smiled!
Wooden slatted blinds in restaurant covered in dust.
Horses next door
Very old property in desprate need of face left.beds are small rooms and bathrooms smells
Clean friendly comfortable
Location, facilities and staff
Air conditioning in room was not working well
Locality to attractions
Rooms too hot despite putting aircon on cold. Breakfast time was just plain chaos. This review is in my honest opinion and I do travel across the UK staying in various hotels on a regular basis.
Couldn't fault any aspect. Staff particularly were, as always, enthusiastic, happy, helpful and thoughtful.
Hotel very modern and clean. Only a couple of miles into town although will cost you £10 each way. Staff v helpful.
Pillows very hard ( even the soft ones) struggled to sleep. Supposed to have free wifi but in reality you have to hand over your details so you can be sent junk mail for the rest of eternity then they give you a password that lasts only 24 hours and gives you 0.4 mg which is good for nothing... could get 4g in the car park.
Cleanliness Staff helpfulness
No free Wi-fi Uncomfortable beds
The wbile package atmosphere and friendly staff
Obvious issues requiring attention still had to be brought to staff notice. When informed immediate ans effective action was taken but the issues should not have been allowed to continue to the point were a complaint was required.
I paid in full, but was unable to stay due to cancelled schedule. I phoned Holiday Inn Cambridge three times to try and let them know, on the third attempt someone understood. I then found I had been charged on each occasion on a premium phone number for the privilege of being courteous.
Staff very helpful at all times
dated and very narrow corridors
Excellent facilities and not far from Park & Ride into Cambridge centre
Electric door keys needed re-authorising twice in a three night stay (but staff put this right straightaway)
The bar area was poor. Like an airport lounge. May be deliberate so you don't attract drinkers but a nice bar to relax in an older style hotels is one of the attractions. Also at £72.5 per person per night would expect decent sausages with breakfast. Why skimp on something so basic for extra profit!
