Nothing.. staff were not helpful the pillows were uncomfortable the room was dull but pool lit. The breakfast was cold.
Room size Quality of furnishings fixed and moveable Comfortable temperature throughout Well insulated from traffic noise Free parking
Totally inadequate tea making expendables (tea milk sugar sweeteners etc) for a mature ENGLISH couple. No bacon for breakfast
The hotel itself is very nice and the room is to a satisfactory standard.
I mentioned late checkout when I booked the room as I know they offer that service. Once I got there the lady told me it's a subject to availability and they couldn't do it for the room I was staying at. I knew by the tone of her voice she was not telling the truth so I just went up to my room and waited for another receptionist to come later on and ask them instead. Around 9pm a new staff had come in to the reception and when I asked him he looked for my booking confirmation and saw I had requested it and I told him what happened and I was given a late checkout free of charge, he was surprised she did that as no one had booked that room after us, so we could have stayed another night if we wanted too.
Big room, well-furnished.
My room was too cold, not optimal acoustic insulation from road traffic.
Room was lovely
Having to pay 100 cash deposit because I wanted to pay cash
Breakfast - simple but good. Decent juice and hot dish
When I book a twin room I expect 2 beds of similar standard what I got was a double bed and a bed setee. Having booked this in advance this was very disappointing. I am 58 years old and I always expect a proper bed not a double made into a twin by using a bed setee if they are going to do this they should specify it on booking !!
The hotel was very clean and welcoming. All facilities were excellent. Ideal for NEC. Would definitely use again and recommend.
The breakfast was not as varied as in previous Holiday Inn hotels we have stayed in. No bacon! Limited choice if you are gluten free.
Location Good Breakfast
Finding the hotel Evening Meal was "disappointing"
On a bus route so were able to get the bus into the city form the bus stop across the road.
Limited choice of food on the dinner menu
Everything was great, very comfortable.
The noise people were making, didn't get to sleep until 2am!
The hotel and room were spotlessly clean, breakfast was included and very good.
Nothing to dislike.
Everything else. Very basic hotel. Should be rated 2.5.
Nothing, well, almost, the car park fee.
The bed was very comfortable, the room was a great size, the bathroom was also a great size and very clean and modern.
not much not to like. I think the only thing would be some of the road noise.
Modern nice clean helpful staff
loved the blue light you could choose to put on in the bathroom, loved how thick the curtains were.. Didn't even realise it was morning when I woke up I saw no light coming through at all
The location wasn't great.. Area a bit rough. And customer car park wasn't clear that they had one and also that you have to pay to park on it. Free parking should come with booking
The interior is modern and fresh. The bar area and restaurant are comfortable and spacious. The room was of a good size, well decorated and pleasant. Overall, in most respects, this hotel provides what you need on a business trip. Staff are helpful and cheerful. The wi-fi works!
The area in which the hotel is situated is not very nice! However, the car park is safe - even if you do have to pay £5 per night. Lighting in the room is too dim, particularly in the otherwise very nice bathroom. The restaurant menu is limited but OK for a short period. The televisions in public areas are devoted almost exclusively to football, which will not suit all tastes...
Stayed for 3 nights ...Room .. shower...breakfast...evening menu option if you can't be bothered to go out...all very good..Staff friendly ... Would definitely stay again.
Road noise can be annoying if not used to hearing traffic!
Easy parking. Friendly efficient and helpful staff. Drinks and food at affordable prices. Clean and comfortable room. Within easy reach of the NEC/Airport.
Mood lighting in room and bathroom was too low for my wife to see in mirrors to do her make up. Heating turned on during the night; even though it had been turned off when we retired to bed, causing us to wake up too warm in the early hours.
The tv in the room was out of action all the time we were there. Although it had a message saying it would be put right shortly.
Breakfast was very poor My business was at the NEC and the hotel was too far away and cost me a fortune in taxies.
Cleanliness, location for what I was doing, ease of checking in and out.
Meal service very slow indeed - an issue when work has to be done in the evening.
