Stairs could have been cleaner
Great room, comfortable bed, very clean ,staff great ,breakfast bacon sausage egg beans ,
Room cold portable heater not big enough
Breakfast ran out before 10 o'clock and wasnt replaced
We experienced problems with the set up of our TV. The cables didnt seem to be connected and although we tried to work it out, we just couldn't get the TV to switch on. This was reported to staff who advised that as there was only 2 of them on duty it would be easier to move us to a different room (this was on a different floor) - as we had already unpacked we didn't take up the offer. Although they said someone would have a look, nobody appeared. Would have expected that TV and other equipment would have been tested before guests checked into rooms? Disappointing....
Every thing work out perfectly including the hotel
Friendly and smiling staff
Have problem finding the site. Need better signs how to get there
The price would have been good if everything else was OK, but there were a lot of complaints from me on this stay.
No staff on reception, I had an early check out and after standing at reception more than 5 minutes, i spent time looking around the breakfast dining area and lounge, there was no staff to check me out and give me my receipt for the stay. The room was freezing as the air conditioning didn't work. There was only one towel, no spare towels or no floor towel. There was no hand soap in the dispenser for the sink. I have stayed in this hotel in the past and it wasn't as bad as this.
Bed not comfy bit to soft
IT WAS CLEAN
BREAKFAST WAS NOT GOOD TO MANY PEOPLE MIXING UP THE FOOD AND COFFEE WAS VERY WEAK. I WOULD WOULD LIKE TO PAY FOR BETTER CHOSE
I liked the room; basic but comfortable and clean. I liked the price too .... very reasonable. Also, staff I spoke to were very pleasant and polite.
I didn't like the fact that I requested an alarm call on my arrival for the next morning, but that didn't happen! The room next door had an alarm which woke me up - actually that woke me up the next morning too which I could have done without! Also, the TV didn't work properly - stuck on the 'hotel services' screen and wouldn't budge. This was remedied the following day however; better late than never I guess. Finally, breakfast was very basic, not much choice - especially for vegetarians. It was self service - which is fine, but it was all a bit 'hit and miss' with no one to hand to ask. I can only assume that there were fewer staff members because it was during the Christmas period (27/12/2015) but I would have still expected a more efficient service/system.
Booked a 2 night stay for my son and girlfriend incl. New Year's Eve. Couldn't believe it wasn't any dearer for 31st Jan! Took us only 40 mins to go to Manchester city centre for NY countdown! Excellent value for money Staff couldn't have been more helpful
Stayed for 3 nights whilst attending a wedding. I cannot fault the staff who were excellent nothing was too much trouble. Even complimentary newspapers. The breakfasts had cereal, fruit salad, both full English & croissants all cooked brilliantly. We booked an accessible room on the ground floor the only thing which would have made it even better would be to have had a room with a larger bathroom. My sister who has stayed at a lot of HIE's was very impressed saying it was better than a lot of others she had stayed at.
Being extremely picky the soap dispensers in the bathroom/ shower were flimsy and had started to come off the wall it was between Christmas and New Year so I presume it would be sorted into the New year.
everything was good, staff were very helpful & polite, the breakfast cud do with an up grade more choice needed on the hot food
the breakfast cud do with bein a bit better eg - there was no bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, black pudding, fried bread and choice ov eggs wud b nice as i dont use milk
We stayed here for one night on new years eve and we both liked everything about this hotel, the staff we're very welcoming, the room was very clean and tidy, had one of the best nights sleep on the double bed was so comfy. Breakfast was buffet with what you would expect, after reading the previous reviews about not having bacon, they do have bacon lol from now on I will be trying to make sure we stay in holiday inns from now on... wished other hotels would take note.
Having to leave lol
Booked the hotel for £50 as it's close to the venue of our works' do. Really nice bar area and the room was good too. Would highly recommend for the price.
Easy to get to, cleanliness, really comfy bed, good breakfast....
The location was ideal as we were visiting friends in Burnley. Very helpful staff, excellent breakfast the next day
Modern ambience and excellent staff
Chamber maids were very good in that they left the room clean and replenished tea and coffee supplies for the duration of our stay (Four nights). Decent morning coffee at breakfast.
Bed linen was thread-bear. Changed room re: noise from the motorway. Banged my head on the glass shelf in the bathroom...no first aid! (just ice in a bucket!)
Staff were excellent locatated just off m 65 neat tidy and contemporary room great breakfast included in price overall excellent
Some noise from the motorway
Closeness to motorway, ability to book in late. Good choice at breakfast. Not hearing the traffic although motorway was busy.
Great place to stay
Easy check in / out. Friendly staff.
STAFF ALWAYS AWARE OF YOU AND NOTHING WE NEEDED[ EG SPECIAL CHAIR WAS THERE AS SOON AS REQUESTED] WAS TOO MUCH TROUBLE AND ALWAYS STAFF WERE THERE TO MAKE OUR STAY GOOD
B/FAST COULD OF GONE ON FOR ANOTHER HALF HOUR AS WE ARE SLOW STARTERS BUT THATS JUST BEING PICKY
