Score from 757 reviews Very good
Very noisy, lots of door slamming at 2am in the morning. Very poor breakfast, not enough room in dining area for everyone at breakfast and nobody will take responsibility, the attitude is "not my fault, nothing we can do about it" they just take your money, stay at premier inn at least they do not charge if you have a bad night.
I liked the staff they were very nice , friendly & helpfull. Room was good nice & clean .they cleaned every single day .it was nice & cosy .also had Internet that's a plus .breakfast was good ..
The only thing I didn't like is that the breakfast wasn't hot enough ....
I was greeted by a friendly polite english man on reception who efficiently booked us in and gave us directions to our room also offered any further assistance. The room was bright and spacious, very modern ensuite. We received a courtesy call from reception to ask if everything was ok and again an offer of any assistance we might need. The room was suprisingly quiet for a roadside location. In the morning we met several cleaning staff who again where polite and friendly. We were greeted in the breakfast room by 2 more friendly staff, the choice for breakfast was adequate. Checkout was straightforward, would definately stay again.
The inclusion of a few parent and child parking spaces nearer to the entrance would be usefull
The fact that you could hear every time the nearby rooms flushed the toilet
I was really surprised at the beautiful interior and the luxury feel of my room. I enjoyed being able to connect to the internet in my room, that was a wonderful bonus. The breakfast was out of this world. The train station nearby enabled me to visit London easily. This was the BEST choice!!!
Facility to get hot drinks in the lobby and fill up the supplies in the room.
The scrambled egg at breakfast was the most tasteless food ever.
Very nice room, bathroom. Kettle, tea, coffee. 5 meters from hotel nice pub.
In the room did not have a radiator (heater) - aircon heats up, and it's not enough. Breakfast very poor.
Comfy room, brilliant shower, great value for money.
Red flashing light on the smoke alarm right above the bed. A minor irritation.
Room freezing - thermostat faulty, toilet not cleaned, pillows pancake-flat, furniture awful, staff rude.
Not much choice at breakfast
it was so close to the airport and close to places to eat... was lively at all times so felt safe and so easy to find.
the glasses at breakfast time looked dirty and the knives and forks were not very clean
Good location for airport
Friendly, helpful, professional staff. Ample on-site parking. Comfortable, modern, clean room. Decent breakfast. Close to airport and reception will book a taxi for you. Harvester next door for a bite to eat. Perfect for overnight stay prior to flying out.
The hotel is located centrally in Crawley. It was in an ideal location for me as it was close to the facilities I had to visit. Also, it has two train stations within close proximity with a good service to London. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room is basic (as to be expected) and is of a relatively decent size. Car parking and wi-fi (good connection) are free.
Cleanliness was not perfect. The cutlery, plates and glasses at breakfast were dirty. The first plate I picked up was covered in egg yoke, the cutlery had dried food stuck to it and the glasses were smeared with dirty finger prints. Breakfast itself is very basic with cheap and nasty orange juice, horrible bread, and a basic selection of cereals. I didn't try the croissants and muffins as they looked equally nasty. Having stayed at Holiday Inn Express in Italy, I can honestly say it was a completely different experience, so they can have a decent level of cleanliness and wholesome, good quality food if they wish. I had breakfast on the first day and skipped the other days.
Shame no bacon
Room a little tired looking
The welcome and friendly staff,we had a super room quiet and look forward to returning .
The bed was very comfortable and got a refund on the last 3 nights due there being to no usable Internet connection.
No Internet connection for 48 hours and no sign it being fixed soon. So, I left early. The quality of the buffet breakfast was poor.
It was quiet
after other guest have been using the hot drink machine after breakfast some people came from there rooms and get themselves a drink when I went and have a drink from the same machine one of the staff told me it is not free and put a cardboard notice hand written that it cost £1.50 and I went out and have a cigarette when came back in went to my room the door was inactivated and I payed in full for two nights on my arrival on 31/10 at around 8pm so I am not happy especially I was there to celebrate my birthday the 1/11 and all this took place on the morning of my birthday don't think I will be using it any more
Lovely comfortable room really impressed with the breakfast for an express hotel was very nice.
Not sufficient staff covering breakfast. Tables were left dirty and had to wait for food to be refilled. The staff that were there worked hard.
Clean, smart ,comfortable- just what was required for the overnight before Gatwick flight next day
Address not quite sufficient for sat nav to find it- had to drive up and down road before finding it
Bed mattress needed replacing
The breakfast selection. Lack of noise. Location.
The shower area seems to need an update.
We liked the convenience, the standard of decor, room facilities and helpfulness of the staff.
The bed although fairly comfortable, was a little soft and bouncy so that when one occupant moved, the whole bed rocked.
Room and bedding was clean. Reception staff were very helpful. Cleaning staff were friendly but none of the ones we approached spoke English which was a little difficult.
Breakfast was dreadful but considering the price of the room we should not complain. We ate at the Harvesters the second morning.
