Nice new hotel, excellent facilities, friendly staff

location next to a run down NCP car park. Although we got parked easily when the hotel is full I would imagine the car park is difficult to get into, and no one would want to use the NCP next door!!

The staff were excellent and went out of their way to help. The free breakfast was great. Room nice and clean and quiet.

We booked a double room and got 2 single beds. Not nice for a couple on weekend break. You could have told us if you were full. Wouldn't book again.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly(ish) and efficient.

The brand's decision not to offer bacon for breakfast mystifies me. Most people prefer bacon to sausage which was borne out by the fact that when we finished breakfast at 10am the container that contained sausages was still full. A waste.

It carried out the function required completely adequately

Utterly unmemorable - and what a dreadful entrance by foot - there isn't even a pavement to use, you are forced to walk on the road along Blonk St with cars accessing the carpark the whole time

We liked the facilities, clean bathrooms, comfortable single beds. TV and free breakfast were a bonus

We did not like the double bed as it was very uncomfortable. Lack of adequate car parking was a problem

They upgraded us to the Royal Victoria which is a splendid Victorian old Railway hotel.

Breakfast is awesome, just add a bit varieties would make it perfect.

Good breakfast not usually included in a lot of hotels. Large bath towels lots of places use small towels.

Bar prices a little high.

The staff are superb. The food was really good we stayed two nights and had an evening meal on both evenings. The hotel is well situated and very quiet.

The bed was a bit soft kept rolling into the centre! Not a terrible complaint.

Everything! It was great value without being cheap. Quality bathroom fittings and clean, comfortable rooms - hard to believe it has been pen for 18 months as it all looked brand new. The staff were friendly and helpful too.

Quality of products offered for breakfast very poor. Requested double bed got 2 single and was not offered a change even though I requested it and even though I had a Priority card.

Breakfast menu could be improved. Smell in the rooms could be better. More sports programes on TV.

Helpful staff serving with a smile. Very clean room with good roomy shower. Comfortable beds. Modern. Reasonable choice of vegetarian food. The domestic staff left a good extra supply of towels, Toilet tissues, Tea, Coffee and milk supply though we didn't ask.

Poor breakfast. Unclear what protocol was on arrival. No fried eggs or bacon (very odd!). Orange juice terrible. Also area around hotel extremely run down.

Really close to the centre of town. Great shower! Great budget room.
