shower was exellent
noise from room next door and noisey air con
Easy to find. Great location. Modern and contemporary rooms. Great bathroom design. Lovely and clean. Good breakfast. Even though it was classed as continental, there was still hot dishes.
My own fault, but it was the middle of the morning before I realised there was a switch outside the bathroom to switch off the blue light. I thought it was for safety reasons...durr! Hence I didn't sleep to well to start with, although my partner was out like a light.
No restaurant in evening, but takeaway menus provided. Hotel phone and crockery and cutlery used. Car park ticket was endorsed before leaving so no car parking fee.
The silence - even when the hotel is packed with guests.
good size room large shower good breakfast
little bit noisy from traffic if window open
Its proximity to the Snowdome. We spent two hours there before booking in to the hotel. We were greeted by staff who were very polite and efficient. Minor concerns dealt with promptly and with a smile.
Very clean and helpful staff
Good sized room, quiet and very clean. Good breakfast too.
Everything. Staff, room, food, service, atmosphere and location.
Liked everything, food, staff and quality of hotel.
This hotel is a little way out of town but that was ok as it was very quiet. Breakfast was a good selection of food. Hot food could have been hotter but tasty all the same.
All of the disabled spaces were taken up with motorbikes for the whole weekend. We were travelling with a disabled person and had nowhere close to park. When I queried it, I was told there were disabled bays further away. Not a great answer and the staff didn't seem concerned
Very surprised to see that all disabled spaces at front of Hotel where taken up by motorbikes. Overheard a guest complaining about this to a member of staff but nothing was done. No blue badgers visible on motorbikes.
Reception staff, rooms, facilities, cleanliness and state of repair
Charges for car parking although trivial just seems a bit greedy. Breakfast availability Excessive noise from snow dome , hotel staff outside, road noise Bar Prices, I thought I had stayed in London
everything was perfect, great value for the money paid, lovely room, clean modern & well equipped, great breakfast
the rain on saturday morning !
We were given a free drink and had our meal refunded as there was an error when we had ordered our food.
everything, could not ask for more.
bed was far too hard as I have severe arthritis, but not the fault of the hotel.
Great staff who made you feel really welcome
Like all HI expresses, the dinner and breakfast menu is limited, but there was enough choice
Location, not expensive
Sofa bed matress was so thin that my boys under 5 were banging their heads of metal frame and could feeel springs. Our bed so hard like sleeping on a rock. Major fight in corridor and staff could not deal with it and were not interested
Can't complain about anything except a dodgy lift
Comft of the bed. Staff vety helpful
The breakfast bar was very poor Shouldnt need to pay for parking
Everythink was great had a lovely stay
Room was fresh and modern, shower room was clean and modern, power showe was one of the best I've had. Check in was efficient, staff were ok.
The Pillows! why oh why cant Hotels get pillows right? 2 hard 2 soft? but the thickness of a slice of toast! pointless, Proper pillows please! The room was stuffy and to warm, The Air Con was very noisy, and pointless, as a 90 year old could blow more air than it was putting out on full speed! the breakfast was free with the room! Hmmm yes well the least said about breakfast the better! dont expect a good breakfast from this Holiday Inn, all a bit DIY !
Enjoyed the convenience of the easy walk to the town center and enjoyed watching activities at the adjacent Snow Dome.
Could have used more information about how to hike to the canal.
The room was very clean and comfortable, had a good nights sleep
Breakfast area was too crowded, too noisey, full of brat kids. Need a seperate area for people without kids. No parent control, kids allowed to run around
This particular Holiday Inn Express is well positioned beside the lakes and parkland of Tamworth. There are many attractions in easy reach and there are many fast food outlets to order food in. This inn has friendly and quite attentive staff, so in many ways, they make up for the price and lack of en suite luxuries. I have stayed here a few times over recent years, so it cannot be too bad. Would I stay again? Of course I would. It is clean and is one of the better 'podular' inns around.
As with many of these 'stack'em high' inns, they broke into the market by offering a basic, functional, well designed room for a budget price. Unfortunately the budget price has more than doubled. If i were to make a suggestion, it would be to offer a few more cooked alternatives for breakfast. Maybe mushrooms, tomatoes, even smoked fish. The sausage, eggs and beans consumers are well catered for, along with those who prefer cereal or a continental breakfast. As for those, like me, we are stuck with beans on toast.
