Holiday Inn Guildford  

Pretty location and pleasant, efficient staff.

The fact that my room was not made up at 4:30 in the afternoon on my second day, so I couldn't relax and put my feet up after a day out. I had to find a maid and ask her to take care of it. The fact that the Dining Room was closed on Sunday evening, although the kitchen served dinner to quite a few guests but we all had to eat at tables with inappropriate armchairs. The only waiter on duty had to run around like a headless chicken and take care of everything and everyone! He did a great job but it all seemed very odd as we sat outside in the lounge looking at an empty dining room.

Lovely hotel

Getting rather expensive, due to location next to Surrey Sports park and sports teams staying there.

Efficient service. Location very close to Univerity of Surrey.

Very near the University and Cathedral which was the reason for our visit as our son was playing in a concert there. The hotel room was extremely spacious and had everything we needed. We enjoyed a swim, jacuzzi and steam room at the hotel and towels were provided.

The food and drink was a bit pricey with 10% service charge being added to food. Food was good though.

The manager of this hotel like to double check everything, like my debit card, breakfast included and so on. Finally, when we check out, he don't want to give us the invioce, and said: you should ask for booking.com to ask the invoice...bad attitude. I book hotel though booking.com almost one year, this staff is the most awful one!!! Amazing, he is the manager of this hotel!

Gratuities on final account included on restaurant. Not advised on this and was not a good ISP for the Hotel. So very poor indeed from this pointof view.

It would have been better if the air conditioning had been working in the first room I was in, and I didn't have to repack and unpack. It would have been better if the sink was not cracked. It would also have been better if I was not overcharged before items were removed when I stated that these were not mine to pay, for eg mini bar items I had not had, and film charges when I had paid for a movie package.

Handy Tesco store across road.

Instructions on how to find hotel were very, very poor. Even with the help of a local resident we found it difficult.

The location is ideally situated for the universities. The Buffet breakfast was excellent and had high quality products

Nice peaceful atmosphere. Excellent breakfast choice and very good evening meal menu. Very clean hotel with excellent staff. Good location for Wisley Gardens with excellent car parking. Good location on A3 for commuting around London.

The Hotel could do better with an a la carte restuarant and menu.
