I was offered Executive Room, excelelnt room Clerk servicing me upon check-out was utmost unpelasent and aggresive once I claimed that she charged me to much. In my booking confirmation it was confirmed that VAT was included in the rate, but the clerk first charged me with an amount plus VAT. I asked her to refund me but she said that it i snot possible and she will pass the issue on to the investigation department. I insisted though to refund me as it was in line with the contract. She got aggresive and was accusing me of directing the discussion in the wrong direction. In my opinion the direction of the discussion was corerct as I only asked to refund me. Finally - but she lost a lot of time to shout at me in front of other guests - she caleld the manager to solve the problem. This accident was so unpleasant for me that I will never stay at this hotel even if the lcoation is so good.

The location was excellent for us and the room very comfortable. The air conditioning/heating unit was quite noisy at night and could not seem to turn it off on the inside control panel.

The hotel's location is fantastic for shopping and the best restaurants. The quality and cleanliness of the room was very good. The ongoing hotel refurbishment works were not intrusive. The bathroom was slightly below standard.

The location of Holiday Inn Mayfair is very good. Most of the staff were very helpful and polite. The hotel room was very clean. The breakfast is lovely. On arrival, the member of staff who checked us in was a little abrupt, explaining that in our room there was a double bed and a sofa bed, which is fine when travelling with children, but it was quite uncomfortable to sleep in for someone who is 46!!! On our first morning, the Saturday, we rang down to Reception to enquire about breakfast. We were told that the price was £15 per person unless we got a voucher from Reception, then it would cost us £10 per person. We did this and collected vouchers for the following day too. On checking out, we were charged £12.50 per person, even though I did explain that we were told it only cost us £10, the member of staff who checked us out didn't seem bothered! We were also charged two different prices when ordering drinks from the bar!!!

Hotel was in very good location, staff were very good, main lobby bar and other facilities were good. The bedrooms were very basic and looked tired, could do with a refurb, bathroom was very clean and well presented. Would like to stay again but would like to see an improvement in the decor of bedrooms. Both beds also collapsed with the back legs braking.

Too expensive for the quality. The rooms are sub par and do not meet the standards of holiday inn. Very old and outdated. Definatley not 200 pounds, with extras and vat, worthy.

I have stayed at this hotel many times in the 80's, last time april 1991. The hotel is a bit rundown since then. The location is very good for shopping and close to the West End. The staf was very atentive and helpful.. The polecy of preauthericationm of payment is understandeble, but 100pounds on top of the room rate for two nights is outrageous. When nothing extra except one breakfast is charged and it will take up to one week before the "deposit" is returned it convinces me that I never will stay at this hotel again. Be warned! There are lots of other and better hotels in Mayfair.

+ Exellent Location, Underground and Bus, directly across the street. + Friendly and very helpful staff + The Room The location was the criteria why we choose this hotel. We went everywhere by foot. Piccadilly is aprox. 500 meters. Green park just across the street. - A bit expensive - the internet charge to high (5 pounds for one hour!) - small bathroom

I booked double deluxe room, however I was checked in into regular room without any explanation. BEcause I knew this hotel and felt the difference between standart room and deluxe room, I mentioned this issue to the Duty Manager, finally they moved me into propriet room, but sad experience and waste of time. Beside, the hotel facilities are out of date, old and needs refubrishing.

There are 300 words to many. What I liked is the location only. The Hotel is one of the very old fashion one. It does need a full refurbishment. The elevators are very small and overcrowded in the mroning hours. The price paid per night is not worth the product you get. The prices for such a product is much to high.
