Amazing staff Family warm hotel Very clean Rohit is one example of staff that make your stay easy with his team they make u feel u r in your house but in london
Need some space in the breakfast area
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Bedside lamps didn't work.
Location, newly refurbished, will stay again.
A lady knocking on the door at 8 am (who turned out to be a housekeeper but didn't announce this) because the DND sign was facing the wrong way.. Tv not working but didn't report this as was out most of the day.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. Very attentive at breakfast making sure we knew what was available and were ready to help if we needed it. Loved the room, especially the huge bed - didn't want to get out of it in the morning. Will certainly be back.
Liked everything about the hotel, the only downside was having to make so many changes on the tube to get to Wembley.
near underground station " north acton " executive rooms nice and clean, barely any noise
distance to Wembley stadium by underground is horrible as it takes you at least 45 mins from "North Acton " station. Sometimes staff bit clumsy, however all friendly and willing to help.
it was a very short walk from north acton underground which was great!
our room smelt like smoke and didn't really seem very clean.
Gud facilities in the room n bed is comfortable. Staff very friendly.
Pretty lobby area Starbucks
Single beds were very uncomfortable. Bed frames made noises every time you moved. Mattresses were thin. Surprised to find such poor sleeping accommodations at Holiday Inn. Shared concerns with desk clerk- she just said sorry.
The location was very good, the facilities was also excellent, but the staff were horrible, especially the manager, whose name I later found out to be Mr. Usman , he lack good human management skills, and chose rather to avoid customers rather than attending to them. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone I know nor use them again. I had to abandon them to look for other accommodation . I will appreciate any formal way or process for lodging my protest against this hotel and the poor attitude of the staff.
Stayed here for one night for business. Very nice set up and recently refurbished. Staff were great and I got a free upgrade to executive floor - great views west over the setting sun. Room was nice and clean. Bed was very nice.
Breakfast was a bit chaotic. Had to find my own table and ask for cutlery, then ask for coffee. Being greeted for breakfast is what sets apart good from average hotels in my opinion.
The new extension with a lavishly new executive rooms.
The busses parking beneath the windows of the new extension which cause disturbance to the guests from the noise of the drivers and the guests who use the busses.
Great refurbishment of the top floor V friendly staff
Pleasant bar and restaurant. Good rooms. Hotel is currently under going refurbishment which is causing a few blips
Booking procedure seemed to have glitches the day we booked. Arrived at reception, initially the hotel had no record of our booking. When they found it, they had no twin rooms as ordered. After half an hour they finally found a room and our employees were dispatched to the room on the 4th floor. Alas, it was in use and the occupants were caught in flagrante delicto. Ha, maybe we should have put this comment in the 'What You Did like' section. Eventually, all was resolved when the apologetic duty manager upgraded our two employees to separate executive rooms. The temporary car park can be confusing. Although a ticket was purchased, there were no empty bays and we picked up a £90 fine for parking in the wrong bay. Hopefully, by the time this goes to print, the hotel will have sorted this out
The room had a very cosy atmosphere which made it easy to get a good sleep. The shower was a lovely walk in shower which is always nice. And it was easy to obtain a permit to park in the nearby car park.
Overall I and my partner had a decent stay at this hotel. There were only a few things that bothered us, first of all, when we booked the hotel it was under a different name and so we had thought that we would be staying at the Ramada. Only to find (once we got there) that the Holiday Inn now owned the hotel which caused us a few problems in actually locating the hotel. Also, I had paid for 2 breakfasts for 2 nights but for some reason my name did not appear on the breakfast list which meant that we had to wait while the reception was contacted before we could eat. We were given two options of bacon during breakfast (crispy & non-crispy) but but turned out to be extremely crispy (mine flew out of my plate while trying to cut it) and lastly the maid did not clean our room at all during our stay which was very irritating
Great location as wasnt too far from where i had to be. Stopped for a weekend as i came to watch arsenal play at the emirates. Twas pretty easy to get on the central line then change to piccadilly. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful.
Well it would have been great to have been notified or informed that Ramada had changed to Holiday inn!! I actually booked a weekend at "ramada" and as i used my GPS on my phone to follow the directions which brought me to the "Holiday inn", i called the hotel and it was at that moment, they said that they were no longer "ramada" but had recently been brought by holiday inn. Apart from that, i still enjoyed my stay.
Executive rooms were large and very comfortable
1st: when original booked hotel was London encore West,we was not informed about the change to holiday Inn!! Spent 1/2 hr looking for London encore. When originally booked we booked for bed and breakfast on check In told breakfast wasn't in so had to pay.£10 a day parking I feel is steep and not informed of this when booked . The bar run out of draft beer on Friday night (bank holiday weekend) and was not sorted out. I have another weekend away booked through booking.com in Oct now feeling a little wary about It!!
Very good finish to refurbed rooms very comfy bed
Bathroom required extractor fan
too noise.... the floor , the bed.... seems a bit old!
Location was ok
In short partners birthday double room booked was given twin. Had to move second night. Building work workin men dust sheets. Tried to sell me breakfast when already purchased. Ordered meal from hotel on partners bday. Order can wrong partner ate alone as had to wait for their meal. Shabby ongoing complaint not yet resolved
Location very convenient for tube to Central London. Hotel felt welcoming, and represented very good value for money
Cooked breakfast looked a bit weary by 9 am
The staffs were kind and polite
The check in time should change, that 2 pm check in it's pointless.
I enjoyed my stay from 16th July 2014 for 3 nights, the cost was £286. My hotel room was clean, comfortable, relatively quiet and pleasant. The hotel was in a really convenient location in North Acton with a tube station about 5 minutes walk away. When you exit the North Acton Tube station turn right, cross over the road and you'll see a Tesco on the left and a Dominos pizza shop, keep walking and you'll get to a main road and crossing. Cross over and the Ramada is the building with a red section at the top of a cul-de-sac. There is a massive Carphone warehouse on the left of the road in sort of a small industrial estate.
I had a few quibbles with the hotel which I've listed below but I don't want to put people off as I would stay again. Overall the hotel is good value for money, in a great location and I had a good stay. Minor quibbles: Breakfast wasn't included and there was no way I was paying £10.95 for it. The floorboards in the hotel squeak to the point where it sounds as if someone walking past is trying to get into your room! That being said a hotel staff member did actually come into my room to see if I'd checked in! Good job I wasn't getting undressed or anything! The hotel refurbishments were still ongoing and my room looked onto a building site but it didn't bother me that much. I read other reviews who said if you're out all day the building work won't affect you and this was true as it had stopped by the time I got back to the hotel each evening. The lady checking me in was new and wasn't very good, she had to be prompted by a manager to check me in as I was there stood waiting. I think she needs more practice or better training as she gave out zero information about anything, I even had to ask where do I go to get to my room as she didn't even tell me the basics! On the contrary the man checking another group in was really confident and brilliant at his job making sure they had everything they needed. The lady checking me in also didn't activate my room swipe card properly so I couldn't get into my room on the second night and had to get the card reactivated. A few issues that weren't major and I'd stay here again.
Location Previous stays experiance
Building work Lack of parking Noise (workmen and traffic) Breakfast quality - still cannot present a hot breakfast - eggs rock hard, bacon overdone Staff don't appear to know what they are doing
I was amazed at the quality of the soundproofing. Although located right next to the A40, you could have heard a pin drop. We did not even hear the worst thunder storm in years. Slept like babies. Brilliant.
Unfortunately, they were refurbishing the reception area at the time and I had not been informed. However, we still had a good stay.
