Staff and location
Food, evening meals poor it had to be sent back. Breakfast nearly warm and that includes the pots of tea. Extremely disappointing.
Attention and location
The bed were bad made it.
All of it.
None of it.
the view was okay and breakfast was good. very modern loom to reception and bar but more of a business stop then pleasure.
booked an executive double and was dissapointed. bed was too hard amd the bathroom was too small and very badly designed you couldnt use the sink with the door open so had to move around the toilet just n to shut the door which was very hard being 5 months pregnant disnt sleep well at all and struggled in a very expensive over priced room
Other than the above everything is very good
Only thing that I found annoying was the central heating clicking on and off through the night
Room and lounge area very comfortable.
The room was clean and tidy with a firm mattress. Sea view was a bonus. Bar meal very good and they stocked all our favourite beverages, which I was well impressed with. Bar staff courteous but not in your face.
No free Wi-fi connection No complimentary biscuits on the tea tray or enough tea bags.
Reception staff unfriendly, did not crack a smile, were unwelcoming, did not inform on anything and gave the impression we were an irritant.
The view the easy access to shopping and helpful staff
The cost of wifi , I don't understand why we have to pay ,i have travelled all over Europe In much smaller hotels and I can get free wifi
Reception Staff.Quoted a price on check in & told us no breakfast.Paid more on check out & told that breakfast was included.Asked for early morning call.Didn't transpire.Nearly missed Taxi to airport!!Complained on check out & promised that manager would contact us.Still waiting!!!!!!!!!Will definately not stay again & will advise all friends & familly never to stay at this hotel!!My advice would be to employ staff who know what they are doing & a manager with the decency to contact you after a valid complaint
Stayed 2 nights on B&B basis. Clean, good location for dockyard and other places of interest and the breakfast was great.
No negatives. Exactly what we paid for.
South sea sea-front.
Twin room instead of double as booked. Cheap, uncomfortable furniture. Excessive pre-auth on card.
Food was good
Car park too small and already full when we arrived at 2pm. Room not ready when we arrived. Long queue at reception. Had to queue TWICE before finally getting our room key. Leisure Club cold. Pool cold (son shivering & had to get out after 20 mins.
Walking distance of historic boat yard. Comfortable rooms. Good shower. Good breakfast though eggs over cooked. I had a quiet room, others (overheard) didn't.
Abominable car parking - full day and night. Breakfast booked but questioned every day. Very expensive wifi tariff.
Perfect location, very handy for Gunwharf quay
No bad experiences
Not value for money as i didnt see any added benefits from having an executive room - In fact it looked smaller than the room we had in January. Very disappointed
Was in a good location, about 12 min walk from gunwharf quays, also was close to seaside centre. Enjoyed our stay
I very much liked how close we were to Gunwharf Quays, it was around a 10 minute walk.
Really didn't like the bed. It felt old and springy. There wasn't a duvet as such, more like a sheet with a bit of padding. Definitely needed updating.
What I liked most of our stay was the bedroom and my nigh out in gunwharf
Many things. Your staff at the desk look down on us! Had trouble paying as we thought we payed online and they said your machines weren't working. Had to wait an hour for you to sort out that situation and when we eventually got out keys to out rooms we discovered that the two room were opposite ends of the hotel. So we had to once again complain about that and eventually we did get rooms next to each other. The next morning I went to my car and had a car parking ticket ! When I was handed a slip from your hotel saying I could park outside the hotel. Complete disaster so I will be taking this further
The staff and the relaxed atmosphere in the lounge.
On the Saturday night of our stay e were disturbed for two and a half hours by a very noisy and aggressive group of guests on the 2nd floor. We have stayed at the hotel on a number of occasions and never experienced such disruption. We were hoping to return in March but are now .
Cold room on arrival. Poor evening meal
Staff really helpful and pleasent and a nice referb
The welcome received by the helpful staff. Location Booking process
Noise outside room until 4am. Lack of response from hotel staff to deal with the crowd outside window, drinking and partying. Lack of invoice at checkout Disinterest at disturbances
Liked the location, sea view and just 10 minutes from Gunwarf quays. Breakfast was good quality and when we ate not too busy.
Bedroom doors slamming at 2.45am and 7.00am not sure if just other less considerate guests or perhaps cleaners for the 7.00am. Not sure what you can really do about this though..
