“ Arrived very late and the female receptionist was really helpful and friendly, gave us directions to local fish n' chippy ... everyone we met was full of cheer which was very welcome - cos we are not used to it as we now live in France! ”

Friendly, helpful staff. Quiet room. Lovely view. Private A poor evening meal on the night of arrival. More staff needed. Very expensive for 'tough as old boots' piece of veal and ham. Did not dine in on the second night ! But breakfast good.

Swimming pool, executive double room extras, staff early bar closure, expensive for breakfast and hot drinks e.g. latte/cappucinno. Bought food in for breakfast and snack from Tesco express. the breakfasts looked good but only if you can eat a lot.

Leisure facilities. Breakfast was nice. Cleanliness of the pool area, as we found an apple core that was brown, and the floor area around the pool felt gritty under foot. We expressed our concern about the address advertised on booking.com, as it was wrong and the member of staff on reception said she would pass our concerns to the General Manager and ask them to contact us, which has not happened.

We have not stayed at a holiday inn before and we were very pleased with the location, the friendly staff and the overall feeling of the place Did find that the cooked breakfast on both mornings was only luke warm, we ate at around 8.30am, otherwise the food was value for money

Arrived very late and the female receptionist was really helpful and friendly, gave us directions to local fish n' chippy ... everyone we met was full of cheer which was very welcome - cos we are not used to it as we now live in France! Didn't order breakfast as would be 12.50 for 2 adults & 2 kids up to 16 years (or 10.50 night b4) bit steep. So went to m & s foodhall on the way to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. (Altho I am sure it would have been very good by the looks of it).

The Breakfast was absolutely fantastic. The swimming pool ladies changing room smelt terribly of stagnant water and the Jacuzzi was not working. Very disappointed as we booked this hotel for the Jacuzzi!!!

The staff were absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately we had to see a doctor, for which they provided us all the necessary details, and also, most importantly, arranged to give us a late check out, for which we were very grateful. Thank you kind lady at the reception!
