Lovely staff - cheerful, attentive, friendly, helpful
The site suggested this was 4* but the room needed updating and the shower was at best a tepid trickle. Didn't meet up to the quality of other Holiday Inns I have stayed in and nowhere near a 4*. I booked a double and was given a twin but as it was very late (accident on motorway), I was tired and there was no lift I couldn't be bothered to carry all my stuff back to reception to ask to change.
Good hotel good location
Paying for wifi utter joke
Location, quietness, breakfast, staff
For me the bed was too soft and I had difficulty sleeping
Free WiFi would have been nice.
I could walk to the Reading International business park.
I need to walk for 55 minutes to get to the bedroom.
Breakfast was chaotic - waited for 5 mins to be seated as tables had to be cleared. but there was a large seating area at the back with no guests. In the end, people were finding their own seats over there. Asked for a double bed, got put in a twin bed room which was annoying
Close to function venue
Long walk to bedroom. Not easy to get a drink at 11.30pm
Access from M4
Bed very hard Rooms rather in need of refurbishment Cost of breakfast
Swimming pool. Needs upgrade of shower facilities
Bedrooms were very clean and had everything we needed. We didnt eat at the hotel but the menu looked very nice. Friendly staff day and night. Excellent parking facilities.
Water pressure in shower was very low
Nice room, nice staff, lovely breakfast.
I pay £10 a month for high speed WIFI, £5 an hour is simply too expensive. Especially when so many establishments provide it free nowadays.
Was clean and easily accessed..forgot our toothpaste on request was supplied with packs of travel toothbrush and toothpaste.nice touch..thanks
Had to.pay to link WiFi...not a costly provision..think could have been freely available.
Just about everything except what's in the next box
The price of gin and tonics, extortionate, and one member of staff who started serving someone else while serving me
staff very nice and helpful, rooms clean , could do with updating , wold definatly go back
hard to find when u come off motorway junction
breakfasts excellent.Staff helpful
being given a double bedded room after requesting a twin bedded. waiting an hour for extra pillows
Great lady at front desk. Extremely helpful and very nice. Her name was Maggie
Staff were friendly
Entry card did not work almost every time we went out
Onsite gym with friendly staff
Expensive wifi. If I'm already paying well over £100 for a room why am I paying a hefty extra fee for wifi. slow bar service.
Room I was in needed TLC. It was cold and not a cold day. The phone in the room didn't work and when i went to check it there was thick dust and grime behind the bedside cabinet. I waited almost an hour for a chicken salad to be brought to my room then they forgot my drink.
Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean
Radiators in the room didnt work and the warm-air heating wasnt very warm. Had to get an electric heater to make the room a comfortable temperature
Gave us a card for our wedding congratulations
Spotlessly cleanhotel. staff that were cheerful and couldn't be more helpful despite their working over new year definately impressed !
Midnight fire alarm due to Xmas party guests smoking too close to hotel entrance. Designated external smoking areas far from entrance and hotel windows should be employed.
NOTHING WHATEVER AWFUL TREATMENT
ROOM 233 Sited well off the beaten track on an industrial site next to LIDL...apparently unsignposted off junc 11 m4, or signage too miniscule to see in the dark..Having booked well in advance, we then found our friends were staying in the Windsor and Chertsey area so we tried various emailed ways to change to another branch of Holiday Inn but this was refused most strongly. Having paid for £15.oo breakfasts each, the Reception manager denied this until we showed him our emailed confirmation. No porterage to 1st floor was offered, with our heavy baggage..Impossible to swing a cat in the miniscule bathroom..In the event, the breakfasts weren't even worth £5.00 each. Don't worry, we have explained all of this horrible mistreatment to our many friends - rest assured we will never 'darken Holiday Inns' doorsteps again...
The room was cold so had to put the heating on which was loud and made the room stuffy
