Holiday Inn Southampton Eastleigh  

The staff were all very helpful and friendly and definitely the best thing about the hotel. It was a very comfortable one-night stop for our family who were attending a get together nearby.

The extractor in the bathroom did not seem to be working and made the bathroom very hot and steamy.

Excellent location to visit family nearby. 15 mns from airport and close to Eastleigh and Southampton. Very clean and food excellent.

We had a bargain at £50 per night but would not pay the full price as too expensive.

Reception staff excellent. The room was neat and clean. The quiet flushing of toilet was a great idea, as in most hotels they are so noisy, especially if you wish to use them at night time. It was nice to have a choice of pillows. TV was an excellent size. Rooms were quiet. We would have liked more milk provided, and a menu from the restaurant in our rooms would have been appreciated. Those were the only thing we could fault with our stay!! Would we go back to stay for your discounted price? Yes, definitely, it would be on the top of our list, and we use hotels quite frequently.

Nothing as evewrything was perfect

We use this hotel reasonably frequently because our daughter and her family live within 5 minutes drive. My wife and I live permanently in Spain. Also convenient for Southampton Airport, Southampton city, Winchester, New Forest, The Rose Bowl (cricket), St. Mary's (football), Marwell Zoological Park near Winchester, M3 & M27 motorways are mere minutes away. We had B&B package and the buffet breakfast was excellent from cereals, fresh fruit in abundance, conserves through to eggs in many forms, bacon, 2 choices of sausages, hash browns, beans ........

In the room we had this time the double bed was narrow, possibly only a 4'6".

All the staff we encountered were friendly and proffesional, room was comfortable and clean, food was good and health suite was an asset

The room service food was expensive and a charge was made for each meal although it only took one visit to deliver both meals! We had intended to use the resturant to take advantage of the children eat free offer but as it was booked for Christmas parties we were unable.

There was a party organised on the night of our stay and in the bar area it was very noisey. I noticed some guests with young children trying to have something to eat in the middle of all this, and they looked uncomfortable! There was no complimentary chocolates or bottles of water in our room and no mini bar which was disappointing.

Clean and a fair price

Conveniently located (walking distance from Eastleigh station, a few minutes from Southampton Airport). Staff friendly and efficient. Rapid check-in and check-out. Good breakfast.

We ordered room service at 1 A.M. - only half of it came...and extra that we didn't order. It was microwaved to within an inch of its life. I complained the next day and had the extras that we hadn't ordered taken off the bill.

The location to Southampton Airport is excellent, as is the bar facilities and restaurant. A good place to stay prior to catching a plane from southampton.
