Waterfront position. Good breakfast No mini bar. Room was small and furnishings tired. I complained that this standard did not justify the top end cost. |

Convenience and parking are good. Receptionist was friendly. Views from rooms good (but windows dirty). Breakfast freshly cooked and of good standard. Overall experience was acceptable but not exceptional. Although clean and comfortable hotel decor is dated. Shower only got lukewarm. Apart from receptionist, rest of staff did not acknowledge us - most noticeable at breakfast. Would recommend for overnight/business stay but not for leisure. |

Staff were very friendly courteous and efficient when we booked in.the bar staff in the evening were very good had a good bar meal.breakfast was very good. The room we were in was next to the lift so we did get some noise, but when I booked it did say it was the last available room(we didn`t want to book earlier due to waiting for birth of relative`s expected baby)the view of the ship`s in the morning were great!! |

Basic, but comfortable. Much quieter than expected for its location, and breakfast was great! The shower curtain! A screen is so much better while showering as it doesn't wrap around you. |

The hotel was close to Southampton Docks which was what we wanted. The view of the docks from our room was good. We had a first class breakfast. Evening meal prices were expensive considering the menu that was available. The hotel is ageing compared to surrounding hotels. |

It literally was a room with a view and taking that into account I believe that's what you pay for, and the convenience that the hotel is right next to dock 8. I paid £100 for one nights stay at this hotel. The fact that they cannot provide you with a glass for cleaning your teeth and you get a plastic cup is a bit poor. The bath towels were paper thin. There was no coffee provided in the room only tea. At breakfast the following morning the skin had not been removed from the black pudding - surely this could be a choking hazard! |

Proximity to the city centre and to the IOW ferry terminal. Able to park. Great views The towels in the bathroom are small, nasty and mean. Come on - you can do better than that. Why not go to John Lewis across the road and see what big white fluffy towels look like. Or even Ikea!! |
