Score from 237 reviews Very good
Well positioned near to M6 but just out of town, hotel was as you would expect for a holiday inn. Staff very helpful, food very good, lovely breakfast. Nice pool
My room was at the side of the hotel and near store area for linen, corridors were full of delivery trolleysThere was a strong smell of cigarette smoke wafting in from the corridor. Decor a bit tired and tiny bathroom, couldn't get heater to warm up the room. Sauna not working in health suite
The pool, the breakfasts & the super clean rooms with fresh bedding.
the bar food menu was not very good, should be simplified.
Comfortable beds, very friendly stuff, good breakfast, tasty food, clean room, excellent location, very peaceful. Highly recommended! :)
The sauna didn't work - we were quite looking forward to it! :(
Breakfast was excellent and also the size of the room.
Being able to view bill on TV. Big car park. Lovely view from lounge area. Situation good and great for Trentham Monkey Forest and village, stoke and Newcastle
Bathroom needs revamping and there was an imprint from the bath mat which showed yellow which to me made it appear unclean. On arrival there were hairs in the bath which were not ours! I should have reported it but just switched on shower and gave it a swirl round. Food is expensive! Staff at breakfast didn't know price of breakfast and I wasn't advised to get vouchers for this from reception. Reception staff sorted it but to charge guests staying at the hotel £14.50 without a voucher is a rip off and very unfair.
Clean tidy, well located. Very triendly staff. Good food
The staff were just so nice, asked for a couple of thing and it was done. No razed eyebrows, just done with a smile. Clean tidy and very comfortable room.
The inconsiderate guests in the next room & the door closers. One party having two rooms (opposite each other) as they commuted between the rooms they fling the doors open and let the door closers do there job of closing the door with a bang behind them, from 11pm for 2 hour we had bang bang bang till they finally stopped commuting.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful, the venue perfect for Trentham Gardens, a clean and tidy hotel
Nothing I did't like
Friendly , clean and a decent breakfast. We had a room deal which was fine but I wouldn't be happy with the quality on full price
Decor and feel was dated , it didn't feel like a normal holiday inn quality.
Very handy location
The people above our room were having a very loud conversation from about midnight until I rang front desk and asked them if they could ask them to keep quiet. It was about 3.30am by then. They were quiet for about half an hour and then started up again. We had to get up at 7am so had very little sleep. The room was also very small and the bed a small double and I am a tall person!
everything was great
bar service wasn't good , i think short staff
The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.
The only thing that was not great was the shower pressure. We had three rooms and everyone mentioned the issue. The water was just trickling out.
There were 2 immature drunks banging on all the doors at 4-6am . We were both woken up we called front desk and spoke to the 'night manager'. Who said the police was called nothing was done. Constant swearing shouting banging on all the doors. Not impressed by nothing been done about it. However lady on the front desk was wonderful and had a cheerful approach.
Everything is as quality as it describes love the bedroom and the pool all clean just a lovely environment to stay inn
The high prices for dinner 12.45 is far to high for a burger and chips and no deals on meals Also could do with a lift for more disabled residents
Breakfast and relaxing bar, nice clean room, very quiet no noise from other rooms
Too many steps to lug cases up and down
Location Garden/landscape Breakfast
swimming pool & gym, all the stuff was really friendly and understanding.
at the front desk it says free wifi but the people didn't tell us you had to sign up first. Also, it is very expensive that we had to go out of the hotel to eat!
The food at the restaurant was delicious
Bathroom was disgustingly dirty and rusty!
Rooms clean; beds very comfortable .Breakfast excellent .
Smokers gather at the entrance so cant help but inhale as you enter an leave the building ..yuk ... a notice to smoke elsewhere would be a benefit
excellent location for the university
please give it a make over, back to Holiday Inn standards
Staff friendly, rooms comfortable. food in restaurant brilliant. All at a reasonable price.
Nothing all good
Leisure facilities Professional and friendly staff on reception
Prices in the restaurant are way too steep
