It was handy location
There was a lot of road noise the rooms was small and the rooms was cold had the heating on all the time I was way but just didn't seem to get warm at all
staff good . rooms clean tidy . bed comfortable .good for M6 .
bathroom out of date and tatty . food is over priced 5 min drive you can get 2 meals for £10 -00 , you want £12 for a burger with chips ? your in stoke on trent .
Clean and easy to get to from motorway. Good value if prebooked
Room service finished at 10.30 not good for late check in. Bar for take away coffee could open at breakfast time.
A coach laid arrived at the same time as us and hotel was very busy. We were unable to get a table in the restaurant. Instead we had a lasagne in the bar. This arrived promptly and was ok. The bedroom was small but fairly comfortable. Breakfast was good. I liked the pancake maker.
Room a little small.
We liked very much the comfort of the hotel - the pool looked great though we did not try it. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a long walk to our room but that was ok because it was very quiet despite being in view of the motorway.
Location near motorway for easy access
Room a little dated especially bathroom. Water didn't get very hot for bath
All good excellent bar staff
Clean and comfortable. Pleasant breakfast. Free wi fi as part of being IHG member
Nothing without nit-picking
easy to find just off M6 - good parking and excellence bar staff on Sunday who were very helpful and efficient.
Didn't get my wake up call as requested. However when I mentioned this at Reception it was handled very well and turned around to my satisfaction.
Convenient close to the motorway and trunk roads
Small table for breakfast
Facilities comfort & cleanliness of room plus the food, which was excellent.
Decor Convenience to motorway Flexible Reception hours Tv facilities
Beds were not suitable to our needs- one double and one sofa bed for a mother with a 15 yr old teenager. Fiddly and confusing WFi set up- it should be free as on continent.
Easy check in a and check out In room dining was good and very quick Staff very helpful. Was only there a night but it had lots of facilities I wish we had time to use.
The number for the hotel on the Booking.com website was incorrect and went to somebody's voicemail
Pool & Gym facilities, comfortable room
Breakfast not included so quite pricey for an overnight stay. Menu in room didn't look very good so ate out in the evening.
Hotel failed to take payment prior to arrival despite booking a month in advance via booking.com. Was told breakfast wasn't included despite it clearly being included on my receipt. When finally allowed to have breakfast it was reheated worse than mcdonalds. Some items like the bacon simply could not be eaten. Usually holiday inns are the best, this one was terrible.
Proximity to road network Nice leisure facilities
Overpriced wine Lounge area uninviting Limited staff members waiting for service a norm Room not serviced one day-staying for a week at a time- not what you expect for a Holiday Inn
Excellent location near the M6 but far enough away not to be noisy. Most other things were fine.
Breakfast cereal was very poor and stale, with only semi-skimmed milk available.
Close to motorway, easy to find. Friendly and helpful staff.
Excellent situation close to an M6 junction and convenient for a one night stopover on a long journey from Scotland to Hampshire.
This hotel is not suitable for disabled clients - there was no lift and after negotiating the stairs there were long corridors and further stairs before reaching one's room. Then the fun starts - our room was freezing cold on arrival and, when the radiator was turned on, it bumped and banged with all the air in the system - but remained cold - when I told the staff that it just needed bleeding with a radiator key they didn't understand and certainly didn't have any maintenance staff who might know what a radiator key was ! I subsequently noticed that all the corridors were equally cold with radiators fixed in the off position. What a cold welcome. After a cold night, breakfast was tepid with cold stodgy croissants and dire coffee ! Pointing out shortcomings to the staff at this "Fawlty Towers" was not fruitful. We duly escaped back onto the M6 thinking that Basil and his team must have migrated from Torquay to Stoke. We will NOT be back.
Breakfast and food was excellent
the WC and wash basins need a replacement Rooms need more newer settings
Staff were all very helpful and polite, the health club facility's were very good and clean..and room was comfortable and clean, would recommend to anyone for short stay. we stayed two nights ..
Pool Location of hotel Clean Good breakfast Value for miney
Having to pay for Internet its 2014 you shouldn't have to pay extra for wifi ! Evening meal ok but steak was full of grissle. Breakfast staff not attentive, waited to be seated but no one came, took it upon ourselves to find a table still no one came to ask for room number, name or if you wanted coffee/tea etc, while we had breakfast it was the same for several guests, then having to ask the staff for coffee so service could be better, it's the second time I've stayed here I would have to say not as good as last year, but needed the pool for my 8 year old but maybe look else where next year
Really looks dated. Room furniture very tired and knocked about. Bar area very uninspiring. Food so-so. A hotel chain in Stoke really needs to step up as there's huge potential for a quality hotel in the city. We've stayed in about 8 different hotels and none are that good. (Is it just me?).
pool, reception staff, breakfast nice but they forgot about getting me a pot of promised tea.
room very small, basic. noisy in corridors. very expensive for service. actually deliberately overbooked and so some people asked to go elsewhere.
The hotel is in a quiet spot, close to the university of Keele. We enjoyed the swimming pool and had a very nice dinner and breakfast.
Our room (249) was very noisy - sounded like air-conditioning system. It measured 70 decibels (equivalent to loud traffic) and it was very difficult to sleep (even with pillows over our heads). The hotel was full so we could not be offered another room. So we were very tired for our busy day - the whole point of staying was that we would be fresh. Anyway, they reduced the price for us, but we would have preferred a good sleep!
