Holiday Inn Telford Ironbridge  

I had to speak to a duty manager about the room next door being very noisy at 1.20am(we had to speak with the night porter about this who did speak with the occupants) but i wanted to speak to a manager the next day and explain my concerns. A young girl took all the details and said she would speak to me before i checked out. No one bothered to speak with me about this and i was very disappointed! would definately think twice before i booked the Holiday Inn again which is a shame because we have stopped there a few times before and had no problems

This hotel close to my sister and reasonably priced. We stayed in a twin double bedded room, it was as described. Beds comfortable with a good selection of pillows. En-suite extractor fan was very quiet (admittedly you only appreciate this if you have stayed in a room where it wasn't). We both slept well (the main reason for using a hotel). Staff on reception pleasant and efficient. We didn't have meals or go for a swim/sauna so cannot comment on these.

When we walked into the reception/bar/dining area the smell of chlorine (or whatever chemical is used in swimming pools) was noticeable and unpleasant, however the smell was not present in the rooms. The rooms had no soundproofing, we could clearly make out conversations from surrounding rooms and corridor. But other guests were quiet and woke us at a reasonable time in the morning. I hope our snoring did not disturb anyone during the night.

The week before we had stayed at a different hotel (3*) for £50 less. The rooms in this hotel were well used and showing their age. There had been a private party in the function room on the Saturday night and when I went out to my car on Sunday morning it was covered in broken glass. Also the room was supposed to have 2 double beds - it did not. It had 1 double and 1 sofa bed that was definitely just a single. Good job it was just me and my daughter in the room

Hotel was child friendly and good offer to visit the Ironbridge Museums at a discounted price. Pool and sauna was good.

Food at the restaurant was not the best deal . Although adults meal not too bad, my daughter's pizza was hard(and obviously cooked a few hours before) and the chips were cold. We complained to the waiter who told us , o go back and get something else, I wouldn't stand for that. But of course by then , my daughter had eaten some and she did not want to go back again.

We could take our dog on holiday with us...great grounds at the back of the hotel for our dog to let off steam xju

The hotel was very clean, rooms light and roomy, very convenient for other towns and cities.

Quiet and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was good too.

The staff at reception when you check in if they could tell you the times of breakfast as we missed it also why do they charge me twice £200 when I arrive and another £150 when I check out and refund the £200. They say it doesnt come off you bank balance but it does. There is nothing outside the hotel, however we managed to find a Chinese restaurant and 1 pub that's it. Overall not a bad place .

Very polite and helpful staff, room very clean and comfortable. Had a most comfortable stay in pleasant surroundings.

The hotel was clean bright and very welcoming the staff friendly,but to too friendly there if you needed then and helpful with advice about local attractions and in advicing us we could purches our tickets from the hotel to save queing at the attractions. The hotel was a nice place to come home to with sore and tired feet. Thank you for a lovley two day stay we will come again
