Food Friendly staff
Size of rooms
The hotel was located very near Audleys Wood where we attended a wedding. It was very clean and the staff were very polite. Should have cost £100, £45 at booking. Com.
Good locations for our needs, very clean, and good staff.
Cold bathroom, no heating and with outside temperature down to -4c during the night it was very cold in the bathroom. Breakfast was a disappointing too as we opted for cooked breakfast which was partly cold having stood too long, before we came along (we went into breakfast just after 0900hrs; shame because it had been well cooked and plenty of it and to be fair all the other options looked well prepared and plenty of choice.
Always enjoy my stay at Holiday Inn. good value, clean, good staff.
Would like more hooks on back of doors. Soap dish. Free water
Staff were lovely and room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic
As always, everything was to our liking.
Nothing at all
Lady on bar excellent
No free wifi
Had a lovely stay
The only fault I can think of I found the bed was cold because the duvet was not thick enough.
Swift check in, personal requests of a ground floor & quiet area of hotel.
No fridge in room, but empty space where one had been
Hotel location, helpful staff good beds. Breakfast very good.
£20 for WiFi Crazy! Bar prices very high Ground floor rooms can be noisy.
- Wifi not free - Forced to register to membership program to receive free wifi - Registering for membership a hassle
Extortionate price for WiFi.
clean and tidy Good tv options price of room
wanted payment for WiFi,Not in this day and age. Limited parking. waiting at reception why they sort out their I.T problems.
Wifi should be free.
Very poor evening meal, duvet too hot, wi -fi charges monstrous. Not coming back.
We liked the price. The cleanliness of our room. The friendliness of the staff. The quality & price of breakfast.
What we didn't like was the noisy guests. It was obviously a wedding party with loud voices & children running up & down the corridor way past midnight. Obviously not the hotel's fault, so did not mark them down for it.
Arriving through wind and rain the Holiday Inn Basingstoke was an oasis of calm and comfort. Meeting friends for a meal in the restaurant was a very good idea and I enjoyed my choice from the specials board. The following morning breakfast was plentiful and well cooked.
I didn't use the chargeable wi-fi but had it been free in public areas I would have done.
Booked a specific room 2 months before travelling to be told it was not available on arrival. Staff could have informed me well before hand Tried to charge me for wifi, when it was included in room price
Friendly staff.comfy room.
Expensive pizza when ordering room service.could be cheaper. Executive room did not feel like an executive room.basic. Could hear everything from my door...
The location of the hotel was good and the overall facilities were great. Good food choice and a great location for shopping in Basingstoke.
Although we upgrade to the executive room. The room was still quite small. The bed was not the most comfortable
The staff especially the guy on reception who also relief helped at the bar, was brilliant. From supplying extra t bags, milk + some forgotten toiletries to taxi bookings - which came on time - our whole stay incl. first class breakfast, excellent
We felt that a bit of free wifi in the reception would have been good as the charges for the small amount we wanted to use, were far too pricey for us. We went to a local pub & a cafe where it was free if we bought refreshment.
Good food, and excellent staff. They made us feel welcome and were very helpful throughout our stay.
The bed was a bit "saggy" in the middle, and the heating didn't seem to be working in the bathroom. Not enough tea, and no sachets of hot chocolate on the hospitality tray.
