When to the over 30's night new years eve and reasonable price instead of paying over the odds for cab home, nice just to walk to room and crash out. The security staff at the event were very friendly. the only complaint the shower curtain in room 130 had seen better days, dirty etc.,

The location. The convenience of amenities. The staff - very helpful. The cleanliness of the rooom and the design of the hotel. Excellent breakfast. Found the double bed a little hard, and the duvet could have been larger.

Read some bad reviews of this hotel, needn't have worried. Everything was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was very fresh, hot and tasty. Would stay here again if visiting this part of the country. The hairdryer was within a drawer and hard to use as the cord was quite short.

Comfortable, well appointed and clean. Spacious rooms with very good facilities Breakfast choice good and food acceptable V.Good leisure facilities. Near a bus stop for travel into Chatham/Rochester. Evening a la carte menu prices we felt were high and there was no fixed price "limited choice" alternative menu which other hotels we have stayed in did provide. Its location is on a dual carriageway so no direct entrance except from the north (not much that can be done about that!)

Fantastic service all round Internet charges also cant get internet and box office films without the adult channel which rather put me off any package. But I am being extremely picky about it as everything else was fantastic.

It would have been helpful if the reception staff had told us of the meal offers in the hotel at the time of booking. We only found out by default which could have cost us a lot of money. We think this was very poor.

They had a pool which was included as a guest and the meal deals were good with 2 children - their food was included in the price of my meal so good value from that respect Facilities were poor in some respects - we tried to watch a video and had to restart it about 10 times - it then pixallated throughout the film. The good value meal took nearly 2 hours to go through end to end - for a starter and 2 kids meals - should have taken 10 minutes waiting time - instead we waited well over an hour. The beds were uncomfortable and we were told we were upgraded to a family room which wasnt the case - my son slept on a mattress on the floor!

Comfortable bed. Reasonable sized room with good en-suite. Very good breakfast, lots of fresh fruit. Hotel was in a rather awkward location next to a dual carraigeway, so if you overshoot it (as we did!) it means you have to drive about 2 miles to get back to it. The hotel could be better signed from the road. Otherwise no complaints.

It's location was exellent for us as our son and daughter in law lives in chatham and with golf courses near bye it was very convenient. We were happy with the room as it was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful, we would be prepared to stay in rochester- chatham hotel again. Our only real complaint was the bar and food prices, although the breakfast was very good we don't think it was worth the £10.50 each price tag. After the first morning we ate and drank in the local pub as it was far cheaper.

Sorry, I can't anything positive to write about the hotel and the service it provided. The location of the hotel was ok, but it awkward to get to because of the one way system. Only one bath towel was left in the room for two people. Even after the reception was informed of this problem, no action was taken to resolve it.

“Friendly staff who've obviously been well trained; full marks for service. The rooms have a warm, homely feel about them and there are several nice touches that hint at the history and add to the charm of this historically significant building. Enjoyed a hearty breakfast overlooking the picturesque docks and great views (it was a sunny weekend) over to Upnor castle and woods!” Marcel, Guildford |
