Nice breakfast. The lack of free wi-fi! This must drive customers away to others that are free/included.

The hotel was more than adequate for our needs Let down somewhat in that although we dined early on the Friday evening there were no specials left. The meal itself was not up to standard but to be fair we did receive a reduction in our bill. The toilet facility in our first room was not flushing so we had to move rooms. In room 235 we could hear a constant humming sound at night possibly a generator which was not conducive to a good nights sleep. At breakfast on Saturday morning my wife asked for tea and received a pot of hot water with no tea bag. On Sunday evening we arrived back at the hotel about 9.15 and I went to the bar and asked for two packets of cheese and onion crisps only to be told somewhat rudely that the two packets on the bar were the only ones left in the hotel. On the Monday morning of our departure there were no mushrooms or black puddings available with breakfast.

Hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Problems dealt with quickly. The location was ideal for what we needed to do. Room was quiet and pleasant. The bathroom needed updating and for a hotel of this price and quality, we would expect more. In this respect does not compare favourably with other hotel chains in this price range. There were problems with the housekeeping which were in the main dealt with quickly.

Our room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were very attentive. They made you feel it was a pleasure to help you, rather than that we were a nuisance. This all makes for a very happy relaxing stay. We also enjoyed the pool and its facilities. All in all a lovely break. We have no complaints. With hindsight we would have preferred to have chosen a hotel not in such a busy area, but that is because we are used to country driving and country lanes!

I always stay at the Holiday Inn, and find it clean, freindly and value for money, however my stay this time was not as plesent. We did have a smoking room number 132, on entering it was disgusting, no fresh air in the room and the whole room stank awfully. I am a smoker and have stayed in smoking rooms before and exspect it not to be as plesent as a non smoking room, but this one needed a deep clean. Also the smell from the toilet kept me awake all night, I could smell the unplesent urineal smell. I do hope this room gets a deep clean. Because the Rochester Holiday Inn will be recomended. My parents have a public house in Rochester and lots of familly and freinds often stay.

The fact that there was a swimming pool and the breakfast was very good. On the Saturday afternoon we went to the bar and we were told to sit at a table and we would be served. We had to wait ages as there was only one young chap on duty and he had to serve lots of people at their tables. All we wanted were two soft drinks and we had to wait about 20 minutes. Why couldn't we just order at the bar like other places?

I was really impressed with the standard of accomodation and the food available in the restaurant. All was good value for money and would definately stay in this location again and am looking forward to exploring the rest of the UK and have no worries about finding the right accomodation for us now. Nothing, they had a small problem in the kitchen but that was noones fault and the staff more than made up for the hi ccup by being truly sorry and honest, which is what I prefer.

Good location and spa & leisure facilities good ! Lobby and bar area modern and comfy although rooms I fell could do with makeover as not the same standard/decor as lobby and bar . Service from all members of staff good . Fridge in room excellent . Great value for money . For disabled people I think that there should be a ramp beside the main entrance to access the reception/lobby area . I know there is a lift to get down the stairs but I think some disabled people would not like to use this as too much attention is drawn to them ..... a ramp would be good !

The sauna, jacuzzi and steam room were very nice. The pool, although small, was nice and a lovely temperature. Breakfast was lovely, best food and service of the 3-day trip The leisure area had dirty changing rooms and a very small gym. Our booked room was tiny. The experience we received at dinner was abysmal; incorrect food, poor service, and errors on the bill. The whole hotel suffered from outrageous communication failures, and operated with poor customer service, aside from one male reception-worker who processed our check-out. We also experienced an unplanned fire alarm procedure during our stay, which was extremely poorly managed. We also had the pleasure of listening to the loud music and raucous experiences of an over-30s disco night whilst staying there.

Lovely room. Was moved quickly when I requested a quieter room away from the traffic. Clean and Rudy and lock to see different pillows to suit people's needs. Food at bar was amazing, staff friendly and helpful. Many thanks The cleaner woke me every morning with noise!

Read some bad reviews of this hotel, needn't have worried. Everything was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was very fresh, hot and tasty. Would stay here again if visiting this part of the country. The hairdryer was within a drawer and hard to use as the cord was quite short.

Comfortable, well appointed and clean. Spacious rooms with very good facilities Breakfast choice good and food acceptable V.Good leisure facilities. Near a bus stop for travel into Chatham/Rochester. Evening a la carte menu prices we felt were high and there was no fixed price "limited choice" alternative menu which other hotels we have stayed in did provide. Its location is on a dual carriageway so no direct entrance except from the north (not much that can be done about that!)
