Holiday Inn Ashford North    

It was a bit out of town, but handy for what I wanted, as I was attending a course across the road.

Not enough lighting in the room. It was hard to see properly at times.

Wifi free at rooms also

Great room but

our room was under the gym, we could hear people on the tred mill. Not good at 6.50am. We was offered a new room but who can be doing with moveing just for the second night.

Extremely Comfy Beds. spacious well appointed room. Very Clean

Bathroom a bit tired and tatty.

The friendly and very helpful staff. I could not have asked for better service. I got lost and was directed by the staff straight to the front door. Brilliant!

There was no hot water in the room for a hot bath I informed receiption about this in the afternoon early evening and in the morning there was still no hot water. The people on the front desk could hav not cared less I did not even get an apology from them.I Booked a early morning call as I had a early ferry to catch (alas still waiting for call ) again complained ag reception on checking out and was met with silence . In the evening at the bar you had to search for somebody to serve you as there was never a body behind the bar , the server was always sitting with the front desk girl in her office.not for me better service from a Prmier Inn at half the price . Ashford Central seems to be better

The family rooms were spacious which was wonderful. Usually family rooms are several beds crammed into one room with no room to walk or store luggage, so this was a real luxury.

Unfortunately, I found the bed to be uncomfortable. The second morning we were there we didn't have hot water, but I think it was because there were two tour buses there and we just didn't beat them to the showers that morning!

The welcome was excellent, all staff were great.

False fire alarm in the middle of the night. 2Nd time it has happened to me in the same hotel and although I stay in hotels all over the place many times a year, these are the only 2 times I have ever been disturbed by a fire alarm. Coincidence.......?

On arrival we received a warm welcome from the male receptionist, with whom we shared some humorous banter. It was unfortunate that our stay was linked to attending a funeral the following morning. That morning soon arrived, and a taxi was requested to take us not more than five minutes up the road to the local crematorium with an exorbitant fare of £15.00. So disgusted were we, we said we would rather walk. It was at this point the manager of the hotel stepped in to offer us a lift. Although we didn't take up the offer, it was extremely appreciated.

Nothing not to like.

Everything and a very warm welcome. Also we left our iPad in our room and the hotel staff placed it for safe keeping in their safe, so that we could pick it up 10 days later we were so grateful.

Friendly and welcoming staff, clean and very quiet on our stopover to the eurotunnel. (under 30 minutes away) Great value.

Everything from the lovely welcome on entering the hotel. The bar staff (Molly and the filipino lady) were very professional. Food was excellent. Room perfect Free parking

My gps (tomtom) took me to the m20 which was off junction 9, infact the hotel is off junction 8, which meant it took me 30 minutes out of my way. Free wifi in the lobby (public wifi not a good idea if you are on business) Paid wifi in the room. Please make it free for guests in the rooms.

Staff were very friendly.

Dinner menu was not very varied.

Very comfortable stay excellent breakfast. Good. Choice on buffet and food was hot. Staff very helpful.

Poor quality sandwich lunch . Was given dried up bread with not much filling. Was changed and apology given.

Staff couldn't do enough to make the stay relaxing and it was perfect

They understand the needs of a family and ensured that we had the right room. They changed the booking to provide a room that suited us all better at no extra cost.

the room size was very good

When we arrived at the hotel we found a dirty pair of ladies knickers in the draw along with an pair of smelly socks .On the day of departure there was no hot water in my room fo r a shower. I did tell the staff whent n i went to settle my bill and they gave me a 20% discount, But i would have prefered hot water and empty draws (very embarassing for me and the wife)

Convenient to Channel Tunnel. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast buffet.

Duvet was rather too warm for our liking but would stay at the hotel again.
