The decore is tired and old the whole place could do with redecorating. The bed was old and soft and lumpy and the pillows were very poor. The night we stayed 2 members of our party had a bouncy castle out side there window which stayed operational until gone 11.00. The bathroom was very poor and was very tired in desperate need of up grading.
Position, parking, easy accsess
Too many long winding corridors. Bad design by architect.
The staff were helpful
Noise , interruptions from housekeeping dirty towels and bedding and dirty cups
Location Easy car parking Room was a good size
We arrived after a long drive at 9.00 pm and were told at Reception that we would still be able to eat in the restaurant. When we got there, we were told that, as we hadn't booked a table, they were rushed off their feet and couldn't accommodate us. There were 4 tables being served at this time! We were then guided to the bar for bar meals (cooked by the same kitchens presumably) and were told it would be 20 - 30 minute wait. There was no customer service present as far as we were concerned.
Breakfast - a good variety. Dinner meals were good especially the duck. It was nice to sit in the courtyard and have a pre dinner drink. My husband liked the cider.
The wine bought by the glass was not to my liking.
Location is very good. Close to M20.
Lack of TV channels to choose from without paying more. Free wifi should be available rather than having to pay. I was a non smoker put in a smoking room which stank, I was shocked that holiday inn still provide smoking rooms.
Not far from Motorway Plenty of parking Helpful staff Impressive restaurant "barn" location
Bit of a delay getting a table at breakfast - maybe we should have got up earlier!
Good parking, polite and helpful staff, comfortable room with big tele.
Bathroom door needed attention. Decor a little bit dated.
Lovely room, very helpful staff, beautiful breakfast, need I say more?
The friendliness of the staff on arrival at reception and the comfort of the room. After a good night's sleep, an excellent breakfast was provided before setting off on the next part of our journey.
The lack of information regarding the evening menu before entering the restaurant.
situated near town and shops
Pleasant stay staff were very help full the food in the hotel was fantastic
That I wasn't there long enough
Nice clean room. Breakfast very good - healthy choice available (as if!). Many visits to Ashford - always stay here. Value for money and good location.
Bar staff poor. Nowhere quiet to sit - children running noisily through public areas unsupervised.
The location for at channel crossing is perfect. Only a few minutes from the tunnel and 20 motorway miles to the ferries at Dover. A clean, comfortable, reasonably priced hotel ideal for the early morning channel crossings.
Rooms great and room service wonderful. Staff all cheery and professional.
We had a smoking room that stank really badly. Asked if we could be moved as we had not requested a smoking room we were told that there was no other accommodation available
The rooms are old fashioned and basic. Who has shower curtains now ? Dining room drab and depressing. Long wait. left and went to Harvester. Bar expensive.
It was easy to find, clean and comfortable.
The reception staff were not always available. I stood at reception desk a couple of times wanting some information, but gave up as there was no one there.
