Holiday Inn Ashford Central    

The food in the restaurant was excellent. The male staff in the restaurant at our evening meal and breakfast were really polite, helpful and generally excellent. Breakfast was high standard. Room also ver comfortable. The head waiter, androj ? , was absolutely outstanding and dealt with a problem we had in a very professional way. These staff were the best I have encountered in a hotel for a long while

Nothing really. The breakfast voucher system was a bit unclear . It needs to be explained clearly on arrival. However, the receptionist was very pleasant.

Understanding staffs about their coworker(s) mistake.

Finding a "dirty&nasty" towel left/forgotten in a hotel room's toilet hanger which residing next to the sink. Honestly I can't put my resentment in words. It was unbearable experience with the hotel due to the housekeeping clerk who left a dirty towel in the room. Utterly disgusting after drying up with the pair of towels left for the hotel guests' disposal...

The rooms are spacious and the bed comfortable although the bathroom was a little "tired" the restaurant staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The restaurant meal. We ordered fish and chips expecting fresh fish but the fish was frozen and tasted very strong. Having eaten there before we were very disappointed and would probably eat elsewhere in future.

Staff are friendly. Hotel is clean and modern and very good value for money. Room was comfortable and plenty of space. Took advantage of the evening meal package.. 2 courses for 12 pounds. Good standard and worth the money.

Minor point, room could benefit from a safe. Coolers broke in the bar so any draught drinks were off. To compensate they sold 2 bottles if beer for the price of a pint which balanced this out and shows the positive attitude of the hotel staff.

Reception staff very helpfull, Bar staff very nice, sandwiches very well presented and nice too eat, ten minutes walk from little raj Indian restarant that I would recommend

Reception staff were very welcoming. I requested a soft pillow around midnight and the night staff searched until they found one. I had damaged my foot, so walking was difficult, and staff at breakfast did all they could to help. As a frequent-traveller, I rate staff outstanding.

A lovely warm April day but heating/air conditioning set to winter mode so room temperature too hot.

Our room was a good size - clean and well equipped

The food was ordinary to say the least. The worst meal we had during our time in the uk. That Wifi was not included in the price - really penny pinching to charge for someone to check their emails

Not being able to find you straight away using the Sat Nav in the car, there are two Canterbury Roads in Ashford!

Clean, well appointed, easy parking very friendly and efficient staff.

The staff was really friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and the style of the hotel is very old, but in a good and cosy way!

It was quite a long walk to our room through a bit of a maze. We had a family next to us, so I could hear a baby/young child crying during the night.

Receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. When I booked I asked for a quiet room and I got one.

No lift

Excellent restaurant on-site, wonderful food and unexpected vouchers given on check-in for bargain dinner and breakfast. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. We didn't have children with us, but we could see that they were well catered for and made very welcome.

Even though only a 2 storey building, there was no lift which might be a problem for less able travellers.

Welcome was excellent Food well preapred and tasty

Hot plated breakfast choices were dry - the chef had not bothered to keep an eye on these items. Very disappointing and I informed the hotel of this on booking out.

The cleanliness..Very agreeable for a one night stopover on way to cross channel ferry.
