Score from 309 reviews Very good
Close to the M61 motorway, the hotel offers free parking and a Harvester restaurant, 2 minutes' walk from Horwich Parkway Railway Station and the Reebok Stadium (for Bolton Wanderers FC).
Score from 208 reviews Fabulous
With easy access to the M61 motorway and just 2 miles (3.2 km) from Bolton town centre, the hotel offers great value, with free parking and comfortable, modern en suite rooms.
Score from 68 reviews Very good
Situated just off the M61 motorway, with views over Winter Hill and the West Pennine Moors on the outskirts of Bolton, The Mercury has a traditional restaurant, a lively bar and nightly entertainment....
Score from 137 reviews Good
arrived late, everything fine. Pleasant helpful staff and good nights sleep before the morning. Very good location
friendly bar open late
too dated no wifi reception in further rooms toilet dirty milk off extractor not working
It needs money spending on the facilities. It looked tatty. There was no restaurant facility thursday night. The bar meal I had was vegetarian lasagna. There was one piece of vegetable in it.l Mostly cheese.
I ASKED STAFF TO PUT WAKE UP ALARM ON 2 COSECUTIVE DAYS BUT IT DID NOT HAPPEN
I like the location and good views.
GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP
BATHROOM ABIT DATED
Hotel needs a refurb very tired decor ! Evening entertainment is awfull
Location - easily accessible from motorway.
The lift was not working and I. Was with my elderly mother.
I liked the room and that they were cleaned.
Corridors needs to be upgraded as they look bit dodgy .
Friendly and unassuming staff
Earlier check in would have been helpful
Location and large car park.
Pillows and bedding could have been better.
Staff Location Value for money
Some drunks on a stag weekend!
Needs refurbishing and looked tired dated.
I slept ok in a hotel that I arrived at late one night. The breakfast was nice and the price was extremely cheap.
It all looked like it needed an overhaul. Worn or dirty carpets, paintwork not great.
Location, sleep comfort, we got a good late deal price.
Frosty reception, dirty window frames in room, toilet in room needed a good bleaching, the breakfast was not organised, lots of guests but no plates, most food trays empty. When plates arrived they were very hot.
Location , good view from hotel Easy access from from motorway and local road , good friendly staff , over all very happy and will recommend to others .
I wish breakfast was included even just the basic
the staff were so rude there it was untrue. we stayed the night previous to that and despite the rooms being dusty and the toilet paper hard and crinkly we still decided to stay another night. however when we booked the room again for the next night we were asked to pay a £100 deposit if we were paying by cash and also we would have to pay £100 deposit even if we were paying by card, this made no sense at all as me and my partner have stayed in a lot of hotels and never has this occurred before. once challenged, staff became agitated and very rude towards us.
The atmosphere is very relaxed. Staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Good parking and good views from the front of the hotel.
The air con wasn't working. I have been three times and every time the air con isn't working. You can only open the windows a small amount so the rooms are very warm. Also the room this time needed some TLC but we couldn't complain as we got the room last minute for a good price.
Cheap and close to M61. Powerful shower.
Smell of cleaning products in the corridor.
I really like the friendly and helpful staff
Wasn't anything I didnt
i think the gentleman was called dean in the resturant, he was the only highlight of the weekend. he couldnt do enough for us.
dirty and tired rooms unfriendly reception staff!!! finding previous guest belongings in the room.
Staff tried really hard to make this hotel clean and welcoming, despite obvious serious lack of investment.
All very used - carpets threadbare, no grouting in floor tiles, windows only opened a small amount, but rooms stuffy and smelly. Could hear everything from all rooms around, incl. arguments, door slamming, etc so not very restful. Limited TV channels.
£ 12.95 for breakfast
Cost of room for 1 night, affordable. well located for my work contact.
Lack of wi-fi connection, terrible and if you do need to write an e.mail the cost on that computer is to high.Wi-fi system in every room is essential.Like premier inn you get the first 30 min free then they charge £3 for the next 24 hrs, brilliant idea, pls take note.
Very friendly atmosphere from both staff and fellow guests.
Nothing to dislike for our first Visit. Will stay again when we visit our family.would recommend to friends.
