It was very friendly, welcoming and the staff were very helpful. Ideally situated for the purpose of our visit, quiet yet on the outskirts of the town which was easily accessible by car and on foot. The room was very comfortable, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to other people.

My stay was very short but I would come back. Hotel more convenient than town centre sites so can park easily. Local countryside pleasant. Rail connection at Lostock, you ought to make more of that fact. Hotel fine!

Situated near to a motorway and main roads, but not in themiddle of a town or city. Convenient for travel to final city destination. Would have been of great assistance to have a sign from the main road, Wigan Road, shown where the hotel was.

Very Reasonably priced. My room was clean and of a good size. Very good location close to the M61. There were a few funky smells around the hotel, the breakfast is over priced. One member of our group was located on the other side of the hotel despite us booking our 3 rooms at the same time, on the same booking.

Location is fine Entrance is dirty. Room is worn and poor quality. Food was dreadful. most limited menu I have ever seen (sent out for a Pizza) The fish and chips deal was restricted to before six to encourage(force) you to go for the dreadful menu in the restaurant. Menu has three choices of starter and main course. This hotel is tired and is certainly not 3 star. Don't stay here.

I booked r/o online..when we checked in,we were asked if we required breakfast...the receptionist then put us on a different offer, were breakfast was included(we only had to pay a few pounds extra...was well worth it!) Staff V. helpful, and gave us a room with fridge(needed to store eye drops) Room prob could do with updating a bit,but was v clean and adequate for our needs. food was absolutely lovely..fantastic breakfast choices.(chef even made porridge for my husband.even though it wasn't on menu) different veg was provided for me at dinner,as I didn't like the ones on offer. would recommend this hotel to anyone...we would certainly stay there again.

It appears that some rooms are for smokers. The result is that the corridors smelt of smoke. Initially the hotel could not find our name. It turned out that the name on file was "M & Mrs D McNama"; it should have been "Mr & Mrs D McNamara". Something is wrong between the transfer from your web to their system. I suspect that the "&" is the problem.

Most staff were very friendly and courteous. When I arrived my room was not ready yet so they sat me at reception with a cup fo tea whils tI was waiting. The facilities were not as advertised on the website. This stated that wired internet was available in all rooms for a charge and this was one of the main reasons for booking this hotel as I was there on business and had work to do in my room in the evenings. I arrived to find that there was wifi in the lobby area only. I had to nip to the nearest computer shop and buy a mobile broadband dongle to get any work done. The person who I complained to abou this wasn't helpful at all, blaming booking.com rather than apologising and accepting that it was down to incorrect informaion provided by the hotel.
