Staff friendly and helpful and delt with things we asked for straight away
Room was cold but we're given a heater within minutes. Wifi connection poor kept losing it.
Polite friendly staff nothing was to much trouble.had trouble with the heating but victor the duty manager had it sorted within five minutes had a lovely room over looking the sea. Breakfast was also very good with plenty of choice
Location and view of seafront from the breakfast area. It is also a short walk to the main attractions - Brighton Pier, Churchill Square, the Royal Pavilion, etc.
Have to pay for wifi though some limited access of free wifi is available.
Location, cleanliness .. Excellent customer service as all Mbena of staff were very kind, polite & helpful
The bed was not very comfortable
Good location, great for exploring Brighton Polite staff Good breakfast, plenty of variety Room fine, bed comfortable Free wifi worked well
The hotel is currently being renovated so there's an amount of building work occurring. There was no noise on the night I stayed though. Car Park round the back and you need to let the staff know you want to park before you leave your vehicle. Parking expensive - £18 per night Bathroom tired but was clean.
Good location, nice and friendly staff, complementary wifi. The room was recently renovated and in very good shape. Priceworthy.
Several rooms on the same floor were under renovation during the stay which generated a disturbing smell of paint in the room unless the window was slightly open.
the whole two days
Very Expensive and room need to be refurntied.
The bed was extremely comfortable which was a relief after a long journey The room was a decent size. It was spacious and had enough storage for the two of us On our second night the guest in the room to us were ridiculously noisy early hours. Whenever we called reception instantly somebody was there dealing with the problem.
The room had many wall sockets but we could only use three at one time and some sockets didn't work at all The heaing did not work and when my partner asked reception for assistant they brought us a heater instead that kept switching off so the room did not stay warm for long. We ended up having to request another duvet as the one we had wouldn't have kept us warm at all When we arrived we was hungry so we looked at the menu... OVERPRICED! We could not believe the prices they was asking for such basic food. We then went to the bar to see how much they charge for alcoholic drinks and again it was all overpriced
Location and helpful reception staff
I don't think the beer takes are cleaned every two weeks as they should be, my first point was shocking. The Stella wasn't much better. A shame considering the expense.
Staff were rude Staff were uninterested Cleanliness of room Cleanliness of bathroom Value for money Poor electrics Poor WiFi
Easy to get to , rooms clean bright and practical convenient car park
Slow reception desk it was so slow it was painful and being a queue of one person it took a staggering amount of time to check in
An excellent location on the sea side. An old hotel however with very basic facilities. No safe in the room. Not for a couple or a romantic break for sure. May be good for business.
> Just by the sea front the location was perfect with amazing views. > Short walk from pier and bars. > Parking available at the hotel for a very low rate within the area. > Rooms are very spacious and if you go for sea view rooms they are just perfect for a romantic get away. > From the beginning to the end the staff were friendly and always willing to help.
> Run down in parts but told major refurbishment will happen for all rooms.
Scrambled eggs and mushrooms.
Foyer very shabby marked sofas. Had to look at aircon units from window. Bed was two pushed together thus had a gap down middle not comfortable. power cut in morning and kept coming off and on,still off when we left.
We had to make an unexpected stopover in Brighton and this Hotel seemed reasonable. We were given an upgrade on check in , which was nice, as I'd asked for a quiet room. Breakfast was pletiful and staff very friendly
The hotel is undergoing some much needed work. Many areas looked tired and dated but presumably this will be sorted when the work is done
The excessive noise from the next room until the early hours!
Got a great deal on this hotel. Ideal base for wandering around the centre of Brighton. Usual Holiday Inn fare, breakfast good in a relaxed atmosphere.
Hotel is having a bit of a refurb but suffered no disruption. Our room had been repainted, but the wall mounted hairdryer had been thrown in the cupboard & two of four wall sockets were not working.
Convenient location. Will use the hotel again, but only for short stays.
Air conditioning was ineffective, and the service in the restaurant was a shambles.
Checkin staff were quite rude ,hair found in bath
Good location, nice staff, quiet enough
Old run down decor, not the cleanest, very pricey, hotels nearby of similar quality but smaller for 20 pounds pp per night
Food was good
The bed was very small and the staff were not friendly at all. Wasn't pleased that had to pay extra for park think that should be included in the price as had to pay extra for breakfast. Cleaning was very poor and really should be looked in to
lt was near the seafront. Clean bright staff smart and friendly, near all the facilities which we liked.
Nothing really.could have another pillow each
Comfortable Bed Location Large Room Balcony
Fridge / mini bar empty and not working Delayed check in time due to 'housekeeping' issues
The staff were friendly. Buffet style breakfast was very nice. Bed was comfortable with a hood range of pillows
Air con heating working very spuradically being on the 5th floor you think you wouldn't hear much street noise but you you could hear conversions. Very drafty. Plug sockets not working very disappointed.
