Score from 1305 reviews Very good
The staff were excellent, helpful and catered for all our needs!!!! The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the shower powerful. The breakfast had a wide choice and was lovely especially with the sea views from the garden room. Would stay there again and would highly recommend!!!! Thank you for an enjoyable experience!!!!
There was no improvements that I could think of.
Comfort of bed and staff where helpfull .
The cost was very high considering what was promised when booking.and there was rust on the bath and cieling was cracking and so on
Car parking useful.Re-decoration going on, it needs it.
Asked if we wanted a paper when we checked in which we did, but it didnt arrive. When we chased it was delivered within 10 mins but then failed to arrive the 2nd morning as well. Wifi was awful, barely worked.
The bed...cold shower...blocked shower floor..
Great location for the Brighton Centre. Clean room and comfy bed.
No room in car park. No hot water in the morning and it took 45 minutes to get a cup of tea with our breakfast.
Location was excellent View from room 409 was great Panoramic window Room was ok. Pretty battered but view made up for it. Very expensive but limited choice at late notice and actually it was ok due to the fact i didnt think about the money, although i could have stayed at an amazing hotel for the same price. saying that, the sea view was what i wanted. had a good weekend but i can see why there are so many complaints
Hotel itself is shabby Overpriced like most sea views Heating was broken so it was cold in room and at breakfast No hot water for all guests in the morning I would choose another hotel
Staff very helpful in checking in. Gave us a free upgrade. Responded to our complaint about noise from next door room. After 2nd night they changed our room without fuss. One off duty member of staff ordered us a taxi as other staff busy. Nice bar on ground floor too.
Being upgraded on arrival
Staff friendly and helpful and delt with things we asked for straight away
Room was cold but we're given a heater within minutes. Wifi connection poor kept losing it.
Polite friendly staff nothing was to much trouble.had trouble with the heating but victor the duty manager had it sorted within five minutes had a lovely room over looking the sea. Breakfast was also very good with plenty of choice
Location and view of seafront from the breakfast area. It is also a short walk to the main attractions - Brighton Pier, Churchill Square, the Royal Pavilion, etc.
Have to pay for wifi though some limited access of free wifi is available.
Location, cleanliness .. Excellent customer service as all Mbena of staff were very kind, polite & helpful
The bed was not very comfortable
Good location, great for exploring Brighton Polite staff Good breakfast, plenty of variety Room fine, bed comfortable Free wifi worked well
The hotel is currently being renovated so there's an amount of building work occurring. There was no noise on the night I stayed though. Car Park round the back and you need to let the staff know you want to park before you leave your vehicle. Parking expensive - £18 per night Bathroom tired but was clean.
Good location, nice and friendly staff, complementary wifi. The room was recently renovated and in very good shape. Priceworthy.
Several rooms on the same floor were under renovation during the stay which generated a disturbing smell of paint in the room unless the window was slightly open.
the whole two days
Very Expensive and room need to be refurntied.
The bed was extremely comfortable which was a relief after a long journey The room was a decent size. It was spacious and had enough storage for the two of us On our second night the guest in the room to us were ridiculously noisy early hours. Whenever we called reception instantly somebody was there dealing with the problem.
The room had many wall sockets but we could only use three at one time and some sockets didn't work at all The heaing did not work and when my partner asked reception for assistant they brought us a heater instead that kept switching off so the room did not stay warm for long. We ended up having to request another duvet as the one we had wouldn't have kept us warm at all When we arrived we was hungry so we looked at the menu... OVERPRICED! We could not believe the prices they was asking for such basic food. We then went to the bar to see how much they charge for alcoholic drinks and again it was all overpriced
Location and helpful reception staff
I don't think the beer takes are cleaned every two weeks as they should be, my first point was shocking. The Stella wasn't much better. A shame considering the expense.
Staff were rude Staff were uninterested Cleanliness of room Cleanliness of bathroom Value for money Poor electrics Poor WiFi
Easy to get to , rooms clean bright and practical convenient car park
Slow reception desk it was so slow it was painful and being a queue of one person it took a staggering amount of time to check in
An excellent location on the sea side. An old hotel however with very basic facilities. No safe in the room. Not for a couple or a romantic break for sure. May be good for business.
> Just by the sea front the location was perfect with amazing views. > Short walk from pier and bars. > Parking available at the hotel for a very low rate within the area. > Rooms are very spacious and if you go for sea view rooms they are just perfect for a romantic get away. > From the beginning to the end the staff were friendly and always willing to help.
> Run down in parts but told major refurbishment will happen for all rooms.
Scrambled eggs and mushrooms.
Foyer very shabby marked sofas. Had to look at aircon units from window. Bed was two pushed together thus had a gap down middle not comfortable. power cut in morning and kept coming off and on,still off when we left.
We had to make an unexpected stopover in Brighton and this Hotel seemed reasonable. We were given an upgrade on check in , which was nice, as I'd asked for a quiet room. Breakfast was pletiful and staff very friendly
The hotel is undergoing some much needed work. Many areas looked tired and dated but presumably this will be sorted when the work is done
The excessive noise from the next room until the early hours!
