On the seafront in the heart of Brighton's 'Lanes', this friendly hotel has a pool, gym and free Wi-Fi. It is well located for nightlife, restaurants and the beach.

With its sumptuous Renaissance style, The Grand Brighton has a magnificent location on Brighton’s seafront and is just a 10-minute walk from Brighton Pier.
Score from 1643 reviews Excellent
The room was spacious and we had a great sea view with a huge balcony. Quick check in, friendly staff, car parking on site
No feather pillows from the pillow menu available! The cocktail bar didn't serve cocktails and the pan pipe music in the restaurant could send you over the edge!
good sea front position, easy walking distance of all the shops and famous lanes area, plenty of eating places, some very reasonably priced. would definitely stay again.
didnt have breakfast at the holiday inn although i am sure it would of been delicious thought it was very overly priced at £14.95 found breakfast a short stroll down the road at £4.95.
The front of desk staff were excellent , have stayed in some of the best hotels in the world, but would be hard to match the attitude and care shown here.
We had an executive room with seaviews which we got for a great price. Lots of space, lots of little extras and breakfast had a lot of variety.
I cant really find anything I didn't like except not being able to make full use of the huge balcony because it was too windy
Every room has a sea view and my room was large, quiet and very large. Bed was comfortable and room very clean.
Free wifi is free for a reason, it's faster on 3G! Parking for guests should be free not £18 overnight!
Location, breakfast, cleanliness, parking, staff and room views and size
The hotel is run down, even if some refurb has been done the attention to detail is very poor.... e.g. New room but door handle very rusty ... strange!!!
its on the sea front They listened when we complained
heating didn't work, we were given an electric panel heater bathroom door wouldn't shut bathroom was very shabby room was very noisy possibly the next door rooms heating fan kicking in and out front of house member of staff's jacket was filthy, reflected the overall shabbyness of the place
No heating for 2 nights ,,we had a portable heater ,fire alarm going off at 230 am and had to evacuate the building
Never had a problem with any other hotel we've stayed at but the holiday inn double room beds are so small.very uncomfortable nights sleep.
Clean and price okay.
Noisy men in next door room on Friday night. Lots of shouting, swearing, door knocking/banging at all hours. Hotel a 15-20 minute walk from main pier/town centre. Restaurant & room service food fairly bland overall.
The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning system for both hot/cold air was magnificent
A bit of confusion trying to choose between the rooms, would have been well worth getting a beach view room but there was confusion in specifying one ending up having a bad view.
Lovely room with view, great breakfast, friendly helpful staff.
Under staffed, although this didn't affect me,I saw more than one customer having to wait for drinks.
The heating in the room was a bit uncomfortable due to not being able to get much heat from the air coconditioning unit.
Hotel is well placed for beach and town-shops,pubs,restaurants,parking on site which helps as can be a problem in Brighton, going through a referb at the moment which it probably needed, staff helpful, although a staff member walked in to our room while we were resting during afternoon one day and asked if everything was okay,a bit odd.also tv remote went missing day before we checked out again odd.
Sorry got a bit carried away on the other page that asks what we liked, please see that for didn't like also.walking in to room by staff member when resting, also tv remote goin missing.
We liked the whole room!
We felt we spent a lot of money for one night (£156) but it was valentines day'
Everything, could not fault it at all
Excellent breakfast, friendly staff, great location. Quiet, given its location on the seafront.
It's a big modern ugly skyscraper. And a bit pricey, to be honest.
Location and room
car parking £18.00 a night.
The staff were lovely, the bar was nice a quiet for a romantic evening. We had the breakfast included which was a buffet, both of us enjoyed that very much.
The room was not as nice as I expected it to be, it was very cold and the climate control didn't work, neither did the mini radiator provided. The bathroom was not as clean as I thought it should be and the door didn't close! We had to put towels in front to keep it pushed to when using the toilet.
staff was excellent location was excellent very clean
room felt a bit plain and gloomy
Location and space in the room
The very high toilet !! Having to leave a day early for personal reasons
wifi is so bad
Reception staff were very helpful and friendly especially Shawn Pratt who ensured we had an enjoyable stay. Buffet breakfast was excellent and dining staff also helpful.
Unable to get a decent wi fi connection
Dirty old rooms for high price Hilton next time
Warm welcome and helpful staff. Good location excellent breakfast. Parking too.
