Location of hotel is very convenient for beach and town. Staff (especially Philippe) were excellent, very helpful and friendly.Room overlooking sea really nice.
Room was a little tired especially the shower in the bathroom. I do realise there is refurbishment ongoing so I look forward to another stay when it is finished.
The Room, was a decent size, the bed was very comfortable.
1. not happy with the fact that i upgraded the room online for free and did not receive the upgraded room. Which was offered to us before we came to stay. Instead of having a room with a double bed and sofa bed we only got a room with a double bed. 2. We also paid online for the booking and it said online that our stay included breakfast, however we did not receive this when we arrived at the hotel in fact we was told by the staff that our booking online does not include breakfast and that we would have to pay separately, so if you want to book online i suggest you read it carefully before you pay for the booking as it was not so clear online.
Nice clean hotel. Great location. Very helpful staff and duty manager. We've just booked to go back again!
GREAT LOCATION.STAFF VERY HELPFUL.FOOD(BREAKFAST) GOOD CHOICE AND HOT.MY WIFE AND I WILL STAY EACH TIME WE STAY OVERNIGHT IN BRIGHTON.
THE SEA VIEW(AT THE MOMENT)DUE TO BUILDING WORK ON THE SEA FRONT.BUT WOULD NOT PUT US OFF STAYING THERE.
The staff catered for all my needs. I had an excellent stay and my room had an excellent view of the sea.
Excellent location, Helpful reception staff following a complaint. Half our fee returned on the spot!
No hot water at all for washing or showers.
Staff were very friendly and helpfull Half the cost of the room was re funded on check out, due to the unfortunate experience. Location of the hotel is very central to the town and facilities.
Four of us had a meal in the resturant on New Years Eve. There was only four of us and two other couples in the resturant at the time we were there. The service was very slow and had to ask several times for certain things i.e. water and glasses. My friend had prawns as her main course, shortly after eating them she became very unwell. Followed by frequent episodes of vomiting until early hours of the morning (not the best way to spend a new years eve). She was confined to the room and missed all the New Years Eve celebrations and too unwell to have breakfast the following morning. She did not wish to see a doctor or go to hospital, therefore we were unable to prove it was the prawns. But felt certain is was as did not feel unwell prior to eating them.
We liked the location, bed, view out of the window, parking. The size of the room was great, breakfast was alright.
How dirty the balcony was, the cigarette ends, how dirty the curtains were, the bathroom just needed modernising and cleaning.
Room really nice. Side sea view. Looked as if had been recently redecorated. Had breakfast one morning. Cooked well and plenty to choose from. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Car park expensive. Have stayed in hotels at Eastbourne and they Always give free car parking.
Hotel is very conveinant for most of Brighton and Hove. Breakfast was good. Diningroom overlooks the sea. Good value.
Unfortunatly, I had an argument with the revolving door and lost. Staff were helpful in my hour of need! Lots of ice. Room was a little on the cold side.
Position of the hotel and pleased we did the upgrade to a full sea view. The size of the room was great too.
Thank goodness this hotel is getting an upgrade. Most things in the room are in dire need of TLC. We did not have a safe in the room, apparently we should have had. Too many things to mention but I am sure these will all be sorted and it will be awesome.
New renovation work looks great.
Breakfast overlooking sea, staff - helpful, friendly and efficient, parking facility. We will use you again.
Bathroom was a bit tired, cost of parking seemed excessive, but if that is the going rate.
The room was nice and quiet. Tea making choice, limited. Could have done with a sachet of Hot Chocolate.
Cold room and no additional blanket. Shower not very warm Lift was temperamental
The room had an old damp patch on the wall next to the window, it rained on our first night, the rain dripped in through a hole above the window causing a damp area on the carpet, this was not a new leak, no one should have been allocated the room. We reported it and were moved to another room, and only after asking, and highlighting the inconvenience of having to pack our belongings and move rooms, we received a reduction on our bill.
The location is very convenient and the staff were friendly. The restaurant food and service was very good. The room had been recently redecorated and was clean.
Whilst I had paid for an executive double room which included a number of items listed on the Booking.com confirmation, none were provided despite promises (e.g. safe, robes, 2nd chair and table etc) £25 credit given but would have preferred to had what promised.
The staff were excellent, helpful and catered for all our needs!!!! The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the shower powerful. The breakfast had a wide choice and was lovely especially with the sea views from the garden room. Would stay there again and would highly recommend!!!! Thank you for an enjoyable experience!!!!
There was no improvements that I could think of.
The hotel was very accessible and within easy reach of the Brighton Centre. This was our reason for visiting Brighton. We liked the fact that we could park our car in a secure place, although at a cost. The room was clean and the bed was comfy.
The noise from a generator directly outside the room's window. Room 120 best avoided. There was a constant loud drone which did not cease and therefore it was not easy to sleep through. If staying more than the one night we would have insisted on being moved. When receptionist advised of this fact an immediate refund was offered. Also an issue with the door key. The lock would not go to green and when we asked for help although this was provided we were made to feel that we did not know how to operate the key.
Comfort of bed and staff where helpfull .
The cost was very high considering what was promised when booking.and there was rust on the bath and cieling was cracking and so on
Car parking useful.Re-decoration going on, it needs it.
Asked if we wanted a paper when we checked in which we did, but it didnt arrive. When we chased it was delivered within 10 mins but then failed to arrive the 2nd morning as well. Wifi was awful, barely worked.
The bed...cold shower...blocked shower floor..
Great location for the Brighton Centre. Clean room and comfy bed.
No room in car park. No hot water in the morning and it took 45 minutes to get a cup of tea with our breakfast.
Location was excellent View from room 409 was great Panoramic window Room was ok. Pretty battered but view made up for it. Very expensive but limited choice at late notice and actually it was ok due to the fact i didnt think about the money, although i could have stayed at an amazing hotel for the same price. saying that, the sea view was what i wanted. had a good weekend but i can see why there are so many complaints
Hotel itself is shabby Overpriced like most sea views Heating was broken so it was cold in room and at breakfast No hot water for all guests in the morning I would choose another hotel
Staff very helpful in checking in. Gave us a free upgrade. Responded to our complaint about noise from next door room. After 2nd night they changed our room without fuss. One off duty member of staff ordered us a taxi as other staff busy. Nice bar on ground floor too.
