It was a comfortable, friendly place where you could go about your daily activities without being hassled. The food was tasty. The Chinese restaurant in the hotel was closed when we really wanted one on Sunday evening. |

It had a nice gym and some diffrent resturangs to chose from. The staff was good. The room was maybe a bit small since they had tried to put in a sofa and table to. The internet was a bit expensive. Otherwise nothing to complain over. |

You have to reserve the use of the swimming pool and if there is many people you only can use it for about 30 min. |

We liked the view over south Edinburgh. I did not like queuing for breakfast, we are vegetarians and only wanted fruit and eggs. We had an upgrade to executive but only had one bath robe, no slippers and no gift. One bar of chocolate and one chocolate drink do not make an executive room. |

We had excellent service from Sandy who was great with the kids, he helped make the stay memorable. Great room perfect for our needs. The food was excellent and I felt no need to leave to eat out. No criticism what so ever. Brilliant weekend, thanks! |

Clean, nice and relaxing hotel. I slept like a baby. I enjoyed the "pillows menu". The staff was very helpful. The room was a bit too expensive although relatively average priced for this city. The breakfast was more than expensive. We had all meals in the city and it was great, for sometimes a third of the value asked at the hotel. |

The service i received was absolutely brillant although i did extend my stay to 3 days but the last room they give me was absolutely horrible its an empty room just the bed and television, the broadband too expensive, no fridge, iron and ironing board the bathroom was so small and the mattress was so soft for someone with a prolaspe. I was really flabbergasted with the room compared to the previous room. |

I was very disappointed as on our first night the noise starting from 2 am did not let up until 6am I had stayed at your hotel to relax before an exam I had the next day instead I went into my exam exhausted and unslept. We were moved only to find out that the noisy clients were up above us. This put a damper on my weekend and did not enjoy what should have a really enjoyable break. |

At check-in, the man on reception was very nice. Room was clean, beds were clean & comfortable. Room service menu a bit pricey, but food was good. Room was twin, & we're a married couple ( although was told it could be either when booked it), would have been a nice touch if they had looked to see if we could have had a double. Couldn't work thermostat in room, was far too hot. Instructions didn't match unit. Phone in room didn't work, had to go back to reception and order room service there, which was inconvenient! No apology offered. |

Services and cleanliness of the hotel as a whole were very good, the staff were fairly friendly and the location is pretty good for a weekend away (next door to Edinburgh Zoo and a short bus journey to the city centre). The room was also well priced at time of booking. For a 4* hotel, the swimming/gym facilities are sub-par and could have been better. Also, the breakfast prices are far too high. |

The cleanliness, the efficiency of the staff, the modern decor and the ease of getting in to the city and the information provided for this. My room was on the front overlooking the flat roof of the front of the hotel and this was in dire need of a clean - just spoiled the experience slightly. |

Facilities and range of items on the breakfast menu (breakfast range was not as good on the second day - make sure there is Colcannon!) Booking a double room and getting a twin room -Did not make complaint at the time as knew hotel was fully booked up (Hogmanay) but had to push beds together. |
