The Holiday Inn Garden Court Sandy was very clean, well equipped and the staff were very friendly. It was very good value for money and we wouldn't hesitate to return. The shower was just ok. A power shower would be much better and much more effective. The breakfast at £10.75 is just far too expensive. Do what we did, get one up the road at Sainsburys! A breakfast is £3.89 and a pot of tea just 89p, (a big cooked breakfast is £4.29) so you can get 2 for less than the cost of one at the Garden Court!

Staff were pleasant and accomodating. Value for money and very clean. Within easy reach of the main road. Bed was not as comfortable as I am used to, but linen clean and the towels were a little rough.

Nothing! Dirty room, and very cold, next to the main road, with flood light designed to light up the building directly outside window. Poky reception and bar area. Actually would have got more sleep and been more comfortable in the car. Got no sleep

Location for my business trip The smell. As soon as you go into reception it smells as if the drains are blocked. The smell is throughout the whole building. it was so sickly I didn't eat in the restaurant and bought a sandwich from the garage opposite and ate in the room. I noticed in the morning all of the fire exits were open to try and reduce the smell. I mentioned it to the receptionist who commented, " Not again, I cant smell anything as I have a cold" There were a lot of men staying and the very small bar area was full. I wouldn't have thought it is a place a single woman would feel at ease.

The breakfast was very good and staff very helpful. The hotel looks shabby and in need of some tlc from the outside. The room had a musty/dirty smell to it and it was very of putting. There was thick dust on the headrail and the carpet looked filthy. The bed was extremely soft and made for a very uncomfortable nights sleep for both my husband & I. The very heavy traffic 24hours a day ontside the room was horrendous and we would not use this inn again :(

Very convienant for main road network. Pleasant setting The dining facilities were small therefore when breakfast came we had to wait 45 minutes before we could get a seat in the dining area. Very disappointing

Although we were given early check in, when phoning to arrange this (we were due to be at a wedding at 1pm) I was told that it wasn't likely to be possible as the cleaners have their trolly's on one level and don't like moving them around to accommodate early check in....not quite the customer service I am used to with Holiday Inn's! The double mattress dipped in the middle, this led to a very poor night's sleep for both me and my husband. The breakfast room was far too cramped, once in your seat, if you required any further food from the buffet other guests had to be disturbed and get up to allow enough room to squeeze past.

Staff were friendly So many things happened. The card worked for one day when I was staying for two. After main course I was not asked if the meal was ok or if I wanted anything else, it was do you want to pay now .the bed was not put back in its original state after night one .the tissue I left on the floor was left. There was no finesse to things. I know I am not paying good money but these little touches make the difference. I am more likely now not to use you again.

Convenient location on A1. Good Indian restaurant in Sandy ( The Gandhi in Sandy) about 10 minutes walk, but crossing A1 on foot was a little scary. Rooms at front of hotel are a little noisy due to traffic on A1.

Did the job - room was comfortable enough, bathroom was clean. There is noise from the road due to location, evening meal if not taking one of the limited choice special meal deals is over-priced, as are the drinks. Boasts A la Carte menu - which at best is basic with limited options and in a standard holiday-inn style dining room with basic waitress service who failed to even apologise when I commented that half of my meal was badly cooked/prepared. Overall I would probably stay here again if the purpose of the stay is just somewhere with a convenient location to get some sleep - and the hotel night rate was cheap enough.
