The staff are really friendly, we have stayed here a few times now and they are always so welcoming and polite and helpful
we have stayed in all corners of the hotel and still the wifi is so weak it constantly drops( if you can get on in the first place )and the search for mobile phone signal was an evenings entertainment in itself. no signal for three, EE or Tmobile. on any of our visits. make business a little tricky
Everything was really OK, good large room, perfect bathroom, facilities ok, large parking.
Just a problem with the receptionist during check-out. I asked to add my company name on the invoice, keeping all other data. She became nervous making mistakes and losing her temper. When I tried to give some help for this easy operation she refused and at the end the result was that I had to accept a totally wrong data on my invoice. I was astonished...all other staff was ok.
The location and the price
Room was a bit tired and worn. There was no shower gel in the bathroom
Not being aware that they have smoking rooms, which was not clear when booking. Therefore was allocated a smoking room which was unacceptable had to pay to be upgraded to an executive room which left much to be desired.
The bed was very comfortable and the staff were friendly
As we were on the ground floor, the wifi and signal were very poor, however, that was not a major issue!
Bed too small
The pool wasn,t warm enough
It has a gym and swimming pool included as part of your booking.
Breakfast is expensive £13 pp so had to eat from somewhere else
hotel was well appointed clean with excellent staff
thought that the food was expensive for what you got had fish and chips fish was not that big and chips were frozen have had better locally with a smaller price tag
Very friendly staff, location was perfect for work. Room was quiet.
The hotel is tired looking inside, bathrooms are old. To be fair there are renovation works going on so hopefully it will improve soon. Staff are excellent and very friendly.
Staff we're very friendly and helpful and made our stay enjoyable. The room was clean and modern and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
I have no complaints about this hotel.
Ease of access .quiet location.
Nice clean room
Lights too bright in the bar area which meant I didn't sit there for long
Welcome good; room fine; breakfast good
In the middle of refurbishment so somewhat messy (pile of rusting baths outside bedroom window not specially attractive!). No forewarning....; new bathromm looked good, but workmanship suspect!
The staff were excellent from the moment we arrived and in every area we used such as the restaurant and bar. The gym staff were the least welcoming and friendly
shabby state of room, black mould around the bath rim and overall cleanliness poor and room seemed cramped with too much large furniture. One of the bedside lamps was broken so not working. In the hotels defence renovations had began at one end of the hotel.
The seating in the public lounges was comfortable. Our room was large, airy and the bed was enormous and really comfortable. We had tea and coffee making facilities, dressing gowns and slippers, trouser press and lots of toiletries. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice, everything was hot.
Nothing in particular, the place was a little bit untidy in some areas, but it is undergoing a major refurbishment so you have to expect a little disruption. Bedrooms and bathrooms dated but as I said they are all being refitted
My Brother and I had the same Room (5) as our last visit, The bathroom door still had the same Large cracks in.The shelf over the Loo is still balancing as it was before, no-one had attended. We ask for sugar, one and a half hours later, we had to retrieve. We played pool by the Bar and ask for chalk for the cues, the bar person laughed and said we don't have any of that. The internet kept going off. and of course if you wish to use your mobile, you can only get a reception outside the Hotel. It's such a shame, I used to stay in that hotel regular, 6 or 7 years ago, IT was a Good Hotel, with great Service, now i'm afraid everything appears, as it has seen better days and it has.
The location was just right for us because have relatives in this area of Leeds..close to motorway connections..Rooms clean no noise from roads good car parking..enjoyable stay.
Location to motorway. Plenty of close parking.
A lot of noise from doors shutting in corridor - soft closers are needed. Room door is also not very soundproof ! Executive room was no bigger than a normal room - a bit disappointed. Staff at breakfast were disorganised and need a bit of urgency and purpose when dealing with busy restaurant.
We were fortunate to have one of the recently refurbished rooms which was wxcellent
The refurbished rooms were all some way from the reception and with a slightly disabled companion getting to the room was quite difficult. We were told we could have a room nearer reception but it hadn't been refurbished so we chose not to take it.
Breakfast very good.and the evening meal was good
The pillows too thin like sleeping on a brick.mattress are hard aswell.wi-fi did not work in the room we was in no heating in the room that worked
Nothing other than one helpful new manager
Everything - it was dirty, mouldy bathrooms, fire doors propped open by builders making it cold, builders not caring about the noise they made.
The room was clean and the location adequate.
Our room was a ten minute walk from reception, up several flights of stairs. No help was offered with our bags and there was no lift. We barely got any sleep because the corridor was full of people running up and down, banging on doors and shouting until the early hours of the morning. No one asked how our stay was or offered any kind of customer service. Fine if you're part of a drunken stag party, but don't stay here if you're hoping for a good night's sleep. We'd have had a better night if we'd slept in the carpark.
Comfort, hospitality, breakfast there was great too. No issues what so ever.
