Service was good

Windows and frames were grubby. Strong smell of cigarette smoke in corridors.

Breakfast was excellent

Light and airy, staff friendly, cleaning staff visible, and friendly, and very smart. Plenty of car park space, and, although close to a main road, insulation efficient - no noise, lovely!

We could not get the tv to work. Shower had been "modified" to a tap shower, not head shower, just a bit of a pain when washing my hair.

the rude night porter, who doubled up as a barman apparently. he was extremely slow, and didn't serve in turn, it took him over 20mins to serve 6 drinks to one person. and when help eventually arrived he was just a slow and rude. even the day staff looked lost behind the bar.

The hotel was clean, the restaurant was good the staff were very polite and helpful, Jessica on reception was very good nothing was to much trouble.

Our room was overlooking the Reception and was very noisy, we were woken at least four times during the night.

Staff always very helpful and friendly we have stayed before. Easy to get to not far by train or car to centre of London.

Useful location just off of the a2. Nicely furnished. Clean bathroom. Good quality shower.

We had requested a quiet room in advance but were given room 101 next to a machinery cupboard emitting a relentless constant low frequency throbbing noise which permeated the whole room. By 2am after finally giving up on trying to get to sleep we called to ask to be moved to a different room so that we could get some sleep - the first time I have ever had to do this anywhere. To their credit, the staff on duty sounded polite and understanding and were quick to offer us room 112 at the other end of the corridor. We were promised that this one was not next to any boiler/aircon/laundry cupboards. Unfortunately the new room was next to a new source of constantly noisy machinery, however it was a more tolerable drone than the tortuous pulsating noise next to room 101, so we put up with it. This may sound like an overly fussy review, however it is the only time I have ever experienced this problem despite staying in many different hotels of varying costs in the past. The fundamental thing I would expect from a hotel is a reasonable night's sleep, and in this case Holiday Inn Bexley was not suitable. I presume that the majority of the rooms there may be fine, but I would not recommend room 101 or 112 to anybody.

Excellent parking, staff very polite, bar food was good, the hotel was clean with a nice friendly atmosphere. We had cause to complain about our Executive suite, I thought reception dealt with it very professionally

Our Executive suite was not as described and actually questioned whether it was Executive. We had no bathrobes or fridge and the duvet had a tear along the seam. A manager phoned me the day after our stay and promised to email me and requested, when we book again, to contact him, to date that email has never arrived.

Rooms too hot. Overpriced drinks and bar snacks. Bed linen worn.

Staff very friendly and approachable. Room was clean and tidy and comfy. Location suited us and reasonably quiet despite the fact that it was in a busy area.

The toilet rolls were thin and need replacing with better quality. More staff on reception especially in the mornings with checking out procedure.

Noise from the road could be heard, but did not spoil my nights stay too much.

the general air to the hotel everything was clean and tidy and the staff were excellent

the guests next door to us who were very noisy

upgraded because hotels.com overbooked - went to wedding reception so stayed over - easy reception staff very friendly

lack of bar staff - considering it was a wedding reception there was just one member of staff who often had long queues or had disappeared

comfortable good facilities good design/layout. Friendly and very helpful.

The receptionist was instantly welcoming, and very attractive, friendly and helpful. A good example to many hotel staff around the country. She is lovely! Some of the bar staff were also fantastic, especially the lovely Lithuanian girl who was friendly cheerful, and worked very hard to make using the bar facilities a good experience.

Food from restaurant could be served hotter, and on time. I had ordered a side order which did not arrive until I had finished the meal, and then the carrots appeared not to have been cleaned, as there was still black and grit on them.
