staff were very good rooms were small, beds dreadfully uncomfortable, windows were faulty and pricing (especially drinks) in the restaurant was ridiculously high

The hotel is very well placed for the a2 main road, at the Black Prince interchange (the original name of the hotel). Having lived in the area this was not the first time we have been in the hotel, but the first time we stayed there. We found it wanting and certainly not the best Holiday Inn we have stayed in. The public spaces, especially the bar, were bland and characterless. The duvet on our bed barely covered its suface - they must have taken measurements by the millimetre to see how little they could get away with. The noise of the main road was intrusive (we lived closer to it and managed to achieve much less noise with double glazing). And the price of the extras - £13.95 for breakfast? . . . Luckily we knew where else to go, but we pity those who don'T. Think very carefully before staying here.

It was functional, clean and comfortable. Good location for requirements, within a short walk of Bexley Heath and its wide variety of lively bars, pubs and restaurants. Staff were a little indifferent which was disappointing

Despite requesting (and having it confirmed) that we required a twin room we were given a double room which was the smallest hotel room we have ever seen. On speaking to reception they confirmed that they had the request noted but didn't have a twin room (we booked the room in May!!!!). They then said the only other option was to take a "smoking" twin room, which seemed the lesser of two evils, with windows open and air conditioner on. The smell still lingered on our clothes when we got home - we were not impressed!! Our first, and last, stay at Holiday Inn London-Bexley.

I thought the standard of the holiday inn at bexleyheath was absolutely terrible. The staff were ok, on both days that I spent there the lift was out of order then fixed then out if order again etc. There was a no hot water at all during the day only in the morning and night time. The cleanliness of the room was less than average, after finding hairs belonged to someone else on the glasses for rinsing your mouth with in the bathroom. Also tea stains on the cups didn't help. It's not really what I paid for and if I thought it was going to be like that I would never have stayed there. I travel an awful lot every 3 weeks to be exact and stay in hotels every time and to tell you the truth I would never stay in a Holiday Inn again. Thank you.

Hotel was well located and easy to find Rooms were freezing cold when we got in, took an hour or so to warm up. The food was pretty poor value and quality, we ordered a beef stew for £13 and it was no better than a soup, needed a spoon to drink it!! Also had a pizza which was at best pretty below average. Ended up buying crisps and nuts. Will not eat in a holiday inn again, better off going into town and spending your money there. You will get far better food and far better value outside.

The hotel was clean and tidy and staff very friendly. We were charged £18.56 for a double scotch and ginger ale and double vodka and diet coke in the bar. That is what is known as a rip off! If I was running a hotel I would charge people a reasonable price for drink to get them to stay in the hotel bar as opposed to them going somewhere else to drink or bringing their own drink and drinking it in their room.

We had our evening meal in the restaurant. The food was not particularly good and certainly not value for money (Although they did serve excellent bread). £56 for bread, two main courses, two large glasses of wine and two double-Espresso coffees.

Breakfast & the manager who, once he got involved, sorted out making up the bed in the family room, which had been asked for in advance. Also promptly changed a room that was supposed to be non-smoking, listed on the computor as such (132, I think) but the notice on the door was "smoking". Lack of prepardeness and accuracy of requested booking arrangements.

I was told it was the hotel chains policy to not have any gin in the bar so disapointed I could not have a gin and tonic before my meal.

Breakfast was great, rooms are okay. 1. The restaurant took about one-and-a-half hour to serve our dinners which is very, very slow! Some of the meals weren't hot but a bit warm. 2. We booked 6 double rooms in september, separate beds, but on arrival we found out that we had some familyrooms and even 2p beds! That was not our booking!

Nice comfortable room. Ordered for room service on check-in and also put the note on the door as we wanted a relaxing morning. The room service never arrived, despite trying to call from the phone in the room. I ended up having to go down to the restaurant for breakfast.
