The rooms were nice enough, standard for a Holiday Inn. Not too tired. Arrived to be told that there was no cold water due to a fault in the Spa. So, the water from the Shower was scalding hot, which meant that we could not shower before Dinner, which as we had been working outdoors all day was terrible. On further enquiring as to when it was going to be fixed with the front desk, was cheerfully told that some rooms were not affected. So move us to one of those then! Unbelievable. Why they could not have turned the thermostat down on their hot water system to help their guests out I do not know. That would have been too obvious I guess. The "in room" breakfast order form in our room had already been written on and not replaced. So on our way back from dinner, I asked for a new one, filled it out and hung on the door around 11pm as my partner had to leave early in the morning. Imagine my disgust when breakfast did not arrive at 7am, and I found the form still hanging on the door! Complained to reception, who collected it at around 7.10. They could not even get it to us by 7.30, so we cancelled it which meant my partner had to leave with no meal. Rubbish. On finally checking out, left standing around for 10 minutes as the front desk was abandoned, was told that they had kindly deducted the cost of the breakfast that we never received from our bill. Which was offered as some sort of gesture, and that the night porter had been asked about it and must have missed it. What a customer service shambles. And to think that their rack rate is around £140 per night! I felt aggrieved to pay the £79 to be honest. I spend around 10 days every month in hotels in the UK Europe, and this was typical of bad old UK scene. No compensation offered for no usable shower, no real apology for the lack of any meal. I now remember why I let my holiday inn gold priority card lapse. Just a sincere apology would have been nice.

Second time that I haave stayed here in recent months First time was a bit of a dissaster, this one much improved. Room was clean and well presented. We had made a request on the location of the room and this was provided without having to chase it up. The public areas were clean and tidy, did not use the restaurant in the evening but the Breakfast was pretty good. Even Natasha on reception had rallied a little and said please and thankyou a few times during check in and check out. Overall pretty good. Not as well executed as a Marriot, but head and shoulders above a Premier Inn. Not enough explanation of hotel facilities upon check inn. Spa location and opening times, restaurant opening times etc. but a triffle really.

Excellent access to motorways and onward journey via Dover ferries. A luxury feel to it for the price offered. Secure parking. No free internet Wi Fi access. Just to check e mails for 5 minutes would cost a minimum £5 for 1 hour access.

Location ( en route to our 2 main destinations Spa Refrigerator in room for personal things Desk staff not aware that hotel was paid at booking, wanted to make me pay again. This is the second time it has happened at this hotel ( I had a printout of the booking.com reservation where it is stated that rate is billed at time of reservation and it was accepted. Refrigerator and bath not clean. Would prefer bigger towels No elevator, was travelling with elderly mother, stairs difficult

The holiday inn was very relaxing, the staff were extremely helpful the room was comfortable and because we enjoyed the experience we stayed an extra night.. We would consider returning next year when we need to come back to England. My partner likes well done toast and the only complaint he had was his toast in the morning was either hardly done or burnt , there was no in between, but that was his only complaint

The menu was very limited for business customers looking for a light / healthy option. The kitchen prepared a custonm salad but this was charged from a combination from the main menu which was quite expensive as the till could not cope with this.

Good outside spaces, easy parking, friendly check-in staff The bar staff tried to rip us off by adding a service charge to bar drinks. The management were incompetent in their responses.

Close to Brands Hatch, comfortable, clean, easy to find. Room on the second floor and was a really long walk up several corridors and flights of stairs. No offer of anyone to help with luggage, bit of a struggle for me. No prior warning that room was so far away. Room service menu I considered to be very expensive and therefore did not order anything. Nothing out of the ordinary for the price charged.

Booking confirmation stated I had booked a twin however, upon arrival the receptionist, Louise, stated it was a non specific booking and we had a room with a bed and sofa bed. I was rather annoyed as I had booked several weeks before. Louise could not have been more helpful and changed the room for us. My friend and I arrived back from Brands Hatch in the early hours of Sunday morning, due to delay with taxi, and were delighted with the room and the big comfortable beds! Louise also stored our luggage safely in the staff room for us to collect upon our return. I would definately book the hotel again - the only problem was the expensive taxi!!

The food was good, the staff friendly and the restaurant breakfast was first class. No lifts as the stairs are quite steep and my husband has COPD. However we have booked again and have asked for a ground floor which I am sure will be no problem

The stay was excellent (with one exception, see below) as wasthe buffet breakfast. The room was more than ample in size and well devorated and firnished. Staff were helpful and polite at all times. My only critiscm is that on arrival, at 9.30 p.m., we founf that there was only one set of towels in the bedroom. This was quickly addressed, with an apology. I found it a little intriging that this should happen, as the twin room was booked for two people.

Welcoming staff. Efficient check-in and check-out. Exercise equipment. Wi-fi connection was only available at extra charge. This should be free of charge to residents in a business-oriented hotel charging over £100 per room per night.

Conveniently located, close to motorway but with a countryside feeling. For us it was an ideal stopover between moving out of College in Kent and visiting others. We appreciated the good pool/ jacuzzi/ steambath facilities. Our room was very pleasant, even had an empty refrigerator for our personal items!Pleasant sitting area in the garden. -The garden sitting area faces half of the rooms, unfortunately people out there can be rather noisy. There should be a " no noise after 10?or 11 pm policy". No free wifi, or free use of computer in the lobby. 5£ for 1 hour, just for checking mails is too much.
