Friendly and helpful staff.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Plenty of car parking spaces. Useful for the airport, or if like us you were travelling onto Scotland, for the a1.

Several miles out of the centre of Newcastle, a good 30+ minute drive. Whilst we were on the ground floor, the layout means that we were a fair distance from the entrance. Paper thin walls that meant at one o'clock in the morning as the bar emptied/people came back it was almost like being stood next to them.

It was clean and had use of a pool

The reception staff didn't seem to have customer as priority and no receptionist at pool reception to enquire about anything. Plus would have been good to have a fast check out area where people knew they hadn't bought anything extra on their room.

Only fault was no bath towles in room had to go and fetch some

I liked the location, which was perfect for my needs (working with a local business in Brunswick Village). The room was very comfortable, and I liked the 'pillow menu' which was a nice touch, though the pillows already provided were fine for me personally. Breakfast was superb, always a good benchmark for any stay. Food and choice of food was generally excellent, though on the high cost side I felt. Same with the bar pricing (£2.90 for a glass of Pepsi - not even Coke!). Staff were excellent all round - cannot fault them. Good provision of power sockets and temperature controls - also a good benchmark for me as I do a lot in my room.

There isn't anything I didn't like, though it would have been nice to have conditioner as well as shampoo (I didn't read the label properly and ended up putting bath gel on my hair after the shampoo!), A flannel is always appreciated, though I generally carry my own now, and there was no enclosed wardrobe space, where I like to put my case and belongings when I stay for more than one night. I didn't find a drinks vending machine which would have been nice as an alternative from paying bar prices and taking them to my room, though there was an ice dispenser near the snack vending machine.

Freindly staff the room was clean and tidy the bed was comfortable the hotel was situated about 15 min away from the metro centre and centre for newcastle and sourrounding area it also had a swimming pool sateam room and sauna which was great ian

Friendly and helpful staff. Ample car parking. Comfortable rooms and excellent breakfast. I would stay here again. Facilities looked good but did not have the opportunity to use them.

No instructions for air con unit and the room (133) was absolutely sweltering and uncomfortable. Ran out of pizza on Saturday night at 2350 but this was only a minor point
