Holiday Inn Norwich North  

Close to the airport.

Room was booked last minute and they only had a 'luxury' suite available. Far from luxury, so I can only assume the standard rooms are even worse. The room was clean but it was cold as there was only a single portable electric heater working - room did not have permanently installed heating that was operational. The room was also extremely noisy. Ironically though, given that it was next to the airport, the noise all came from a 'sea' of air conditioning plant in the car park.

Staff very friendly and helpful

Hotel is in desperate need of renovation and not up to standard of other Holiday inns. Paid for upgraded room with large bed and was given twin with bed pushed together and spent half the first night in the hole.In fairness to staff moved me to another room but weekend was off to a bad start and we never should have been put in this room

The professionalism of all the staff with special mention to John in reception for his help and advice for future business at the hotel.An asset to the management team at the hotel.Will be back.

Items that I did not purchase were added to my bill. Internet and an extra breakfast were added. When challenged on this they were then removed from my bill.

The hotel is a little tired. Needs some updating. The leisure facilities look better on the web than in real life. The bed was very hard and was two singles pushed together. Therefore, the join in the middle was uncomfortable. Pillows were too firm too. The bath is a bit low and not big enough for two : ))

The staffs lack of knowledge of payment through booking.com The connecting room doors are too thin. I didn't get to sleep until 02:00 due to a mother and daughter arguing all night. I was up at 05:00 in the morning so I didn't get much sleep!

Choice of pillows. Good shower. Iron and ironing board.

Bathroom got very wet with condensation on hard surfaces.

Convenient with friendly staff

An ideal location, right next to the park-and-ride into Norwich (about 20 mins). Large car park, friendly staff. A huge bed (7ft wide) and air- conditioned room. Lifts to upper floors. Leisure facilities on site.

The location was good for where we wanted to go, and surprisingly little aircraft noise considering it is so near an airport. The guests that were attending a function in the adjacent function room were far noisier!

Put into ground floor room right next to reception, people smoking outside our room window as there were double doors into the garden. Smoke wafting in constantly meant that we could not open the windows at all. Also the window did not shut properly so smoke still wafted in. We did complain and were told they would try and stop people doing it, but nothing was done. The room itself was very dated and tired looking, ancient television with a terrible picture, bathroom, again, old and tired looking, and didnt appear clean, smelt strongly of urine and towels were greyish white and also old looking.Bed was like sleeping on concrete and after choosing three different types of pillow from the "pillow menu", finally found some soft ones! Quilts had definatley seen better days. On the positive , breakfast was fairly good, but overall I did not feel that the hotel cost was good value, rather overpriced for what they were offering and in serious need of updating. It was not what I expected form Holiday Inn

We had a lovely pleasant stay, the staff were helpful and attentive. The room was large and quiet and the breakfast was a very good standard with plenty of choice. The Restaurant staff were very helpful. We also enjoyed the swimming pool. The location was very good for the Park and Ride bus into Norwich

We were upgraded to an executive room which was super. Breakfast very good and good value.

One or two areas are showing a bit of wear and tear and could do with a bit of sprucing up.

The location is excellent for travellers flying from (or arriving at) Norwich Airport, which is just across the car park from the hotel. The hotel also has a beautiful indoor swimming pool and a gym, the use of which is included in the room rate. Staff at Reception were very friendly and helpful.

The restaurant. I had dinner there, and the 'chef's special' was disgusting. I would recommend eating at the airport instead.

Excellent location for my business activities. Good, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.

Spacious and clean room. Good programme of tribute acts on the weekend. Very good pub serving excellant evening meals and breakfasts a short walk from the hotel

Very busy hotel with the lobby area full of hen parties upon arrival. Also had to weave our way through lots of smokers standing in the main entrance door ways.

Staff friendly and helpful

Had booked twin beds but room had double - had to change room and then had to ask for missing items(bottled water, bath robes, slippers, etc.) to be brought to room. Asked for newspaper but non delivered to room and not at reception - eventually got it from reception when returned from day out.

Its location very near to the house where I once lived. Free parking.

It was a fairly bland example of its type of modern, out of the centre hotel.
