Absolutely appalling hotel. Would strongly advise against staying here if you're on night shifts as hanging your Do Not Disturb sign on your door and informing reception of your needs is completely ignored. Breakfast is poor quality. The curtains were smaller than the windows so I was unable to have dark or privacy, and the bathroom of my room had no ventilation and stank of bleach and feet. Left two days early as I was constantly woken up by noisy staff. Staff, food, room. Everything really. |

We were made to feel really special particularly by Karen the resturant manager. I was celebrating my graduation and she brought a bottle of 'bubbly' to our table to celebrate. She was particularly attentive to my son who's diet is Vegan. She went over and beyond what you would expect and made the end of a memorable day even more memorable! We cannot thank her enough and want her to be recognised for this! I have and will be recommnending this hotel to friends and family - it was excellent all round. |

I like the fact that with sporting lodge middlesbrough, you have free wi-fi, use of the gym / swimming pool, smoking rooms, breakfast included. and i could relax in my smoking room. it could have more options on the room service menu, and more satellite t.v. channels |

Very friendly staff and very good value for money especially early bird evening meal. Ample parking and access to main roads although address is a bit misleading. Public areas pleasantly free of television screens. The dining room was a bit dark especially at breakfast - difficult to read the paper! |

i got to take my daughter swimming which was great. I did not like the fact i had to take my daughter into the male changing rooms where there are no cubicle facilities and was quite annoyed i had to use the disabled toilet to change her in as she is only 6 years old and mens naked bodies are something i do not wish her to witness! |

Tea and coffee making facilities. Powerful shower. I found the room very dusty, especially in hard to get to areas like behind the bedside table. I thought it was tired in places and the bed was really awful.Had terrible back ache in the morning. The hotel foyer smelled of desinfectant and the restaurant of fried food. I will not be coming back. |

The hotel room was clean, comfortable and tidy and the restaurant food was good. It was like staying at a school. The bar area was dismal, drink overpriced with no sound on the television Sports channel, very Sporting. |

Comfy rooms, good service in restaurant at reasonable price. Pool looked nice but didn't have time to use it. Even catered for early breakfast at 5 a.m. for mad runners, lovely porridge! |

The room and walkways needed the carpets cleaned. The breakfast staff were slovenly and in need of training, we went into an almost empty breakfast room with no clean tables to sit at and the staff standing about either chatting or simply doing nothing. We sat at a dirty table and after five minutes a waiter gave the place mats (not the table) beside us a quick wipe and replaced only the few pieces of cutlery required. We then moved to that table and after another long wait a girl asked "do you want tea or coffee" in such a dreadful tone it was obvious she was in a bad mood. Finally we were ignored at reception waiting to hand over our key card, we left without so much as a thank you for spending the night. Never again. |

The hotel leisure centre which was available free to residents and the special meal deals in the restaurant, and the food was very nice. There was a relaxed atmosphere in the hotel and staff were friendly. As the leisure centre is so popular and used by non residents there was often a fairly long wait to use some facilities, but this was not a major issue, and did not spoil the stay |

This modern 4-star hotel is in the centre of Middlesbrough, in the busy Teesside business area. It has been completely rebuilt at a cost of over £12 million and now offers an indoor pool. |
As the name suggests, The Old Mill is a converted windmill circa 1750, which today offers a warm welcome and a relaxing stay. |
