Bed was extremely soft and uncomfortable . Bar facilities closed at 11 pm on the Friday evening .

Hotel run-down, carpets, beds, furniture in rooms needing renewed/replaced. Same with chairs, tables in restaurant. Overall shabby looking hotel.

sliding windows on ground floor room that did not lock!? Hole in bedroom carpet with tape stuck over it. Bathroom very small! Blinds on bedroom window broken. Wifi signal not good- kept having to reconnect. Accommodation needs updating

The restaurant was pleasant with a good menu. Enjoyed a good steak.

Rather impersonal with the focus around the fitness centre. Public areas not welcoming. Room OK but not worth the rate paid.

The cleaning staff were bright , cheerful and helpful, they did a good job of cleaning the room.

The whole hotel was tired and in need of refurbishment. The floor in our corridor was dangerous, the floor under the carpet was very uneven and difficult to walk on without being in danger of turning your ankle. The dining room was dark and dingy and the staff poorly trained, the person who brought our wine to the table destroyed the cork because she had not been shown how the corkskrew worked. While dim lighting may be acceptable in the evening and may even seem romantic to some a brighter room is required for breakfast. When I went for my orange juice there were no glasses left out, I pointed this out to a passing member of staff who was carrying a tray and was asked if I had asked anyone else as she had her hands full at the minute, she then said if you go and sit down I will bring some. When I went to select my breakfast from the buffet there were no plates available, I had to interupt two members of staff who were deep in conversation to again ask for something that should have been there in the first place, having got my plate I started to gather my food only to find that there were no eggs left in the container, I gave up at this point and had breakfast out the next morning. There was a complete lack of information regarding the facilities available to guests staying at the hotel in the rooms.

Quick entry to the major road system. If you're staying a few nights then the pool and gym complex would be useful.

Shower didn't work and we didn't find out until the morning. The shower dials were missing and should have been picked up prior to our stay. Called reception, unable to offer us an alternative, in the end I had to shower in the swimming pool changing room. Restaurant was just too dark, literally had to allow eyes to adjust before finding a table, and they took away our drinks while we were making toast. Generally quite a tired hotel.

Handy for business in Middlesbrough and with helpful staff and decent leisure facilities which are a help. Clean and practical for business.

A bit faded and 1960's, someone I know describes it as "Crossroads". More importantly, WiFi was a bit hit and miss and hard to use

The room was cold & dirty with a thread bare carpet, hotel bar staff were unfriendly with poor customer facing skills. At £89 pounds for the room, it was overpriced. Public areas of the hotel showed a major lack of investment or care.
