This hotel offers traditional Malaysian hospitality in the heart of London's bustling Bayswater area, less than 650 yards from Hyde Park and Bayswater and Queensway London Underground (subway) stations. In Leinster Gardens, the Holiday Villa Hotel is within easy walking distance of Hyde Park, Portobello Road and the great shops of Whiteleys shopping center. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from both Queensway and Bayswater London Underground Stations. All of the rooms have private bathrooms, satellite TV, telephones, hairdryers and tea/coffee. A continental breakfast is available each day and the hotel's Lagenda Malaysian Restaurant offers authentic halal Malaysian specialties and Chinese cuisine. The restaurant also has a well-stocked cocktail bar and offers a buffet on the weekends. The hotel also has an on-site relaxation spa offering relaxing traditional Asian massages, as well as a sauna. We booked a double room at 6/29/2011. We arrived at 08/21/2011. The room they gave us was room 202 in the back side of the hotel half the size of a normal hotel room boiling from the sun. We couldn' t move or breathe. We asked for another room but they told us that every room in the hotel had the same size. Which was a lie. the next day after having an argument they gave us a normal room at the front side of the hotel which was twice the siize of 202. On the other hand they made us pay our stay in advance before we see the room. Something that has never happend to us anywhere in Europe (including London). We are very sorry for that treatment!

Only one good thing about the hotel, Mr Ali, the concierge is extremely helpful. Holiday VIlla looks kind of run down from the lobby to the room, furnishing is old. I felt like living in a Malaysian Kampong. The breakfast provided is pathetic, just small selection of bread; one or two types of cereal; milk plus coffee and tea.

Very dirty especially the bath tap. Not even one star hotel. Female receptionist on duty on the 10th very rude. No heating available. Had to ask for a mobile heater. Fire alarm went off in my room. Nobody came to check why!!!!!!!!! Continental breakfast very poor. For £ 130 per night I could find a much better hotel which will give good value for money!!!!!

Only the location. Nothing more! Arrogant reception (one certain female employee only "I will not argue on this" and stopped the conversation!!!! How polite and professional!!!). They have asked for full prepayment of the total days - despite the fact that it was not communicated to the client in advance - they had my credit card thus there was no risk for them. I was expecting an email from the hotel manager regarding this clarification and instead despite what we agreed in writting (to pay in cash - I have in email the communication) and without any notice they have charged my credit CARD.Clearly substandard services. Old hotel. Old blankets. I would never go there again. Such attitude may ruin your holidays.

Location: Not so far and simultaneously not so near from the center of London. Breakfast reached good levels. Luggage safe keeping, free of charge. Lack of enough space inside the room. Absence of mini Fridge inside the room. No room air conditioning.

Location is good.. Close to Bayswater and not far from london underground station... Easy to get taxi.. Food is easy to get (Especially Halal food for Muslim).. Hotel offers variety of Malaysian / Chinese food.. Good tv/channels options... Room is pretty small... When I first got in the room, it was really warm (summer time) and no air-conditioner in the room making the air a bit stuffy... Had to open the window very wide but that also didn't help... Very disappointed with the option for breakfast.. I was expecting more Malaysian/Chinese type of breakfast but there are available with additional price... So, if you expect nasi lemak, telur goreng, roti canai, etc for yor breakfast.. It's not part of the room rate that you pay..

Hotel was very clean. The food in the restaurant seemed rather extortionate, £5.90 for an Egg Fried Rice is a joke and sending the beer back due to it being stale made me find an alternative food location for my second nights stay. To say this location was a takeaway as well the choice of food was very limited, the breakfast on my departing morning made up for it though although warm croissants would have been better.

Cleanliness of the room, the friendliness of the staff and the lovely alacarte menu from the restaurant. A little bit tight for a family with little children. But we managed.

I really enjoyed the cleanliness in the rooms. The rooms were tidied every day, in excellent manner, bathroom was great! Towels and sheets were very clean and changed almost every day (towels every day). I also liked fairly friendly staff, they were very helpful, especially when asked directions for the city, they would give you all details. I also thought I had lost some stuff in room and hotel manager took it rather close to heart, took my contact details and promised to contact me whenever found. Finally I found them on my own, but it was nice to see people care about such stuff. Sometimes it was a little cold in our room, but if we called the reception, they were immediately turning the heating on. Hotel had wireless for 6 gbp an hour (However, booking.com said, room facilities included WiFi, but it said that it was chargeable only when I got booking confirmation), this is overpriced! For such value, it should include free wireless, at the same time, just a block away, internet (in internet cafe) was for 1 gbp, and wireless was for half. Food was also very poor, no English Breakfast as promised: just some croissants, cheese, butter, jams and cereals. No meet product. Which was also weird, however, as quantity, food was unlimited. So it was a lot, but few in types. Location was normal, right above the Hyde Park, it was rather far from centre, but close to underground stations. And the area was rather nice architecturally.
