Staff were extremely helpful - beds very comfy
nothing at all
location, room, bath room, breakfast room, staff, price in comparable to the level
Affordable, clean, good location
Cramped, noise transmission between floors / rooms, finishing of decoration is sub-par
we had a quiet room at the back, looking out onto courtyard
Good Locaton . Easy access to most of the places around Kensington Olympia
Rooms are quite small
Positive Likes were: 1. Excellent front of house staff. 2.Excellent location 3.Excellent attention to requests. 4. Very good Breakfast with no restrictions on amount of good food. 5..Would return to this hotel again.
My dislikes were: Window ledges & skirting boards very very dusty in bed-room & while this is a very small matter it lets down the high standard that exists from the front door right through the hotel. Can be easily sorted.
I booked this hotel knowing I was going to be late, as it stated it had a 24 reception. I turned up around 2am and could not get in despite calling the intercom and ringing the hotel number. I slept in my van. In the morning I had to pay for the room, because I desperately needed a shower before starting work again. I was offered a couple of hours extended stay, but this was not possible.
Shower was cold
comfortable beds and lovely linens. easily accessible. Breakfast room clean and tidy, choice fine for continental breakfast. Clean towels every day
bathroom very small and no shelf under mirror so no storage except on washbasin. Fridge under bedside table gave out a lot of heat and nothing could be stored in table drawer.
Shame the lift broke down.
In a good location with a good choice of restaurants within walking distance. Very clean. Polite receptionist.
The rooms were very small. We booked two rooms, a twin and a triple room. In both rooms the beds were nearly touching and next to the walls so had to climb over beds to get in. The breakfast was very simple ( hot drink, cold boiled egg, toast, cheese, fruit juice and cereal). No parking.
Bathroom was fine and air-conditioning was good. Overall very good value for money especially as breakfast was included.
Curtains were in poor condition and didn't shut out the light, which interfered with sleep.
Such a noisy place, children crying, doors banging, could hear everything that was going on upstairs, had hardly any sleep and didn't even dare go near the breakfast room!
-The old queaking and scary lift. -The air-con which you cannot adjust to your comfort. -A sympathetical male receptionist.
-Staff not helpful, did not allow us to make a paid phone call from the hotel in an emergency event we met on the first day of our arrival, even if we were staying for 9 nights. We had to pay two pounds for one hour internet to be able to use skype with our laptop to make the emergency call. -Small single beds not appropriate for adults even if you are not big. High risk of falling off the bed. -Even that the 9 nights were fully paid 2 months before, a lady at the reception(which I presume is the owner) insisted to have my passport photocopied. When I refused, she said she won't let me in. So be careful of your confidential information on your passport. She can verify my identity with my passport but she is not authorized to make a copy of my passport. She even insisted to check the credit card I used to pay the hotel 2 months before. -We were 3 adults. She gave us only 1 entry card to our room. She refused to give us another one even when we offered to pay for it. -Shower cabinet so small that you can't bend your body to wash your feet. -Very small room, difficult to circulate. -Basic breakfast, no omelettes, no yogurt, no fruits - only bread, butter, jam, boiled egg, and some cereals.- - The price we paid for the treatment we received.
The proximity to Kensington Olympia venue
The bathroom was small
We booked the hotel as it is close to Olympia. It's about a 10 minute walk to the nearest tube station, on a road just off Kensington High Street. It was the cheapest hotel available, and we had no major complaints.
Cramped dining room; 'continental breakfast' mainly consisted of a plate of cheese. The shower was quite weak on the basement floor, so it might be even worse on the higher floors. There was a stain on the coverlet at the foot of one of the beds but the rest of the sheets were fine.
Room was spotless. Front entrance pleasant with flowers. Breakfast was adequate but could have been good with just the addition of some cold meats.
Room too small for a double. View from window could be significantly improved - looked like a junkyard. Perhaps a few flowers in pots and a good tidy up.
Nice and quiet neighborhood... yet accessible to bus and train stations.
very small breakfast area.... No facility for re-heating food...e.g. Microwave Oven. :-(
The noise , I loved it so much , could not sleep for 2 days as its on MAIN ROAD with heavy traffic. Staff ... great inflexibility but they smiled twice when they refused to move me to a quieter room. Price promise....fab .. I stayed for 2 nights they charged me for 3nights ! Breakfast consists of some old toast and a slice of cheese !!!! a real treat!!!
I hope you enjoy listening to others.... dissappointungly I did not- no soundproofing-- Bathroom tiles broken - I cut my foot when coming out of the tiny bathroom
I could not access my provider's boradband signal within the hotel, but I could access as soon as I walked outside. The hotel wants a £2 fee to use its wifi. Extortion.
Staff was excellent The bed linen was very clean
The dining room was very crammed. Breakfast is only from7.30am to 9.30am. And for most of that time you are queing up to get the food One window in our room was broken and the other wouldnt close. We had to call the man to close it
Cleanliness is a problem, the rooms are cramped as with the hallways, can't move a bag around without hitting one of the walls.
Comfy beds, very clean room and ensuite. Good sized twin room. Quiet area. Great location for our business trip needs.
Breakfast was lacking in variety.
Clean, plenty of hot water, reasonable breakfast.
Room was in the basement. Some of the lifhts didn't work so it was gloomy. Beds were so close together. Shower wasn't very powerful.
To pay an extra 3% on the price because I paid with my master card. Hole in the window, mended with tape, old tape... No news channel on the tv. The breakfast is poor, really poor. Maybe because of the dated room stuffed with tables and chairs and the buffe (bread and green eggs) in the corner doesn't feel tasty. The room was in need of many minor repairs as loose door handles, new light bulbs and a good clean in more difficult areas.
