Holland Hall HotelLafford Lane, WN8 0QZ Upholland (Show map) Good, Score from 39 reviews“We were staying at the hotel for a wedding and we thought that it was organized beautifully and the staff were very helpful in every way. Our room was fabulously comfortable and we didn't want to leave. The bar prices were very reasonable and very relaxing to sit in and watch the world go by. We will, without any hesitation, return to The Holland hall and we will be recommended it to family and friends. Thank you.”

The staff tried to compensate for the poor facilities and lack of booking The shower in room 3 didn't work. I went without a shower whilst my husband had to go to another room to shower. The room was that small, my husband and I had to wait in passing places whilst we were getting ready to go out. The room door stuck and had to be banged shut. our son's booking hadn't got to the hotel. he was given room 102, and the lighting was poor in the room. the bathroom was dirty and the room smelt of must.

The staging of the wedding was excellent and the staff for the day did everything and more that was asked of them. They helped us all through the day leading us through each stage/step.

We stayed here because of a family wedding being held in the hotel our room was ok but the garden outside our window was a overgrown mess and we were woken on our first morning by noise from builders working on the hotel which we were not informed about and we thought the hotel out front could have done with a sweep up of leaves and such before the wedding

Staff were most pleasant. Beds very comfy. Our room was not made up when we were given the key and that was over an hour after the checking in time 3.15pm to be precise. Our room smelled of cigarettes despite a no smoking sign on every room door. When I mentioned this the lady on reception said "Oh if people want to smoke we usually charge them more because of the extra cleaning" What!!!!! No smoking means no smoking and the smell is always there. When the room was made up there was no milk for the tea making. Incidentally the young lady next door to us in the 'cottage' found a toad in her shower!

We stayed at the hotel after attending a wedding. The room was comfortable and quite. Staff were friendly and helpfull. The reception was not manned all night. The breakfast was adequate but uninspiring £6.95 for continental buffet or £10 for full English. Not much choice for the continental and the full English was served plated at the table with no choice. I would have prefered to serve myself.

Evening meal deal.Plenty of lounge areas. Noisy 'extractor fan' outside bedroom. Not having any Real Ale available and therefore having to drink fizzy lager. View of building site from bedroom.

We stayed at the hotel as we were attending a wedding. We were very impressed with our room. It had everything we needed and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were very helpful. It was the first time we had ever been there and we were very impressed. It is a lovely venue for a wedding.

The staff were friendly and helpful. On booking the room or on arrival I could've been informed about the building site outside the room and that they would be working as early as 7.00am! Also no proper air conditioning in the room apart from a noisy small unit in the corner of the room. Also no information in the room with simple stuff like breakfast and dinner times, prices, local services and attractions etc. tv also did not work! Not very good value for money.

The dinner in the evening was lovely. The hotel was described as 16th century but the bedrooms have laminate flooring which make it look cheap and cold. We went for breakfast and waited 10 minutes before a member of staff came, they wanted to charge us £10 each for a cooked breakfast which didn't look very substantial at all when we saw others being brought out and we had to wait that long we decided to leave and go for breakfast elsewhere.

I have to admit that I can not think of anything I liked about Holland Hall. The staff were very rude and unwelcoming. The Room looked out onto what can only be described as a building site... There was a skip and a burnt out bonfire. The bed was tiny not enough for 2 to sleep in comfortably and we only one skinny pillow each. The decor was tatty and outdated.
