Holland Hall Hotel  

Absolutely an amazing experience at Holland Hall. Will defiantly be staying again. Staff was always at hand and very helpful and pleasant.

Useless shower

It was reasonably priced, nice clean comfortable room and bed. It was also in a quiet spot.

Staff were drinking in the bar & were slightly noisy.

A good location and easy to find. Nice big bed which was very comfortable.

Our shower did not work properly at all, you could only get boiling hot or freezing cold water from it, nothing in between. We had to have a bath instead. We let the reception know on leaving and the response was oh, I'll get maintenance to look at that. No word of an apology or thanks for reporting it! Hairdryer in the bathroom looked like it was from the 1950s.

We love this hotel and the staff - great value for money.

It was very good value. The building itself was interesting with nooks and crannies to sit in or in front of a log fire. It overlooks a golf course but unfortunately we only had a view of a roof from our room. The room was pleasant but without little touches like individual toiletries and tissues. The restaurant was very pleasant and I should think it would be lovely to sit out on the terrace in the summer. The food was good and good value and the breakfast was one of the best we have ever had in a hotel.

Service in the restaurant on the first night and the next morning was a bit chaotic. It looks as though they have trouble coping with larger numbers and there had been a wedding in the hotel. As they obviously have a lot of weddings they shouldn't allow their ordinary guests to suffer poor service - some staff were less than polite.

As always, the welcome is friendly, the rooms are clean and the food is very good with an adequate menu. we have stayed here a few times and will continue to do so.

The staff, service, ambiance and room quality were all excellent. As a business traveler, I use hotels extensively and Holland Hall ranks amongst the most comfortable in the country. I will certainly recommend it to my colleagues.

Very cold rooms additional£10 pp requeated for breakfast but advertised in hotel as £6.95 ?

nice setting - food was lovely

on arrival our room was cold -seemed to be a problem with heating - but we were immedialtely upgraded to another room which was as warm as toast.
