Wifi was problematic, but sorted by Receptionist
Comfortable bed, clean room, friendly staff. Just right for a place to put you head down. Would visit again as best value in the area.
Wifi was broken which was a shame
everything was spot on xx
grat receptionist, friendly staff made you feel welcome, the rooms excellent ill be coming back here for sure
Great beds and clean room.
Directions from M6 motorway are misleading and difficult to follow.
We had cold water throughout the duration of our stay. The room looked very tatty and overall the hotel is in need of some tlc
I Loved my stay. It felt like I was staying in my spare room. Thank you.
Attitude of staff; complemented the overall good value for money. nice decor
Nothing not to like
The day staff were very helpful and freindly.
The night staff should have been doing their job at reception when the party arrived at the hotel late in the evening.
This was booked due to attending a nearby function. The hotel was great with very pleasant staff however our rob had no hot water in our room. This couldn't be rectified during our stay which was a shame as the room was truly beautiful. I was given a full refund and would return on the condition that I got the same room and the hot water was fixed!
The lack of hot water lol.
friendly & helpful staff
poor breakfast choice
Liked the location. Cold air conditioning in place where wedding meal took place. Cold areas mixed with warm areas throughout the building. Breakfast presentation poor, looked unappetising(had continental). Very sparse toiletries supplied considering it markets itself as a boutique hotel.
Feeling cold for most of the evening.
Requested early check in was told that was fine, only to get to the room and found it hasn't been cleaned, carpet and walls where dirty
The more than helpful staff. The rural location despite being close to a 'New' town.
I don't like stairs. To be fair it only had a few to the first floor level.
Clean room, good price for drinks, lovely bar staff
Early awakening by chattering inconsiderate maids
Comfortable and reasonably priced
Dining room cold (I chose to eat elsewhere).
The staff were fantastic especially the girl behind the bar. The food was well presented and really tasty. Pleasant surroundings and minimum noise throughout the night. Would definitely stay again.
The only complaints I have are the glass door into the bathroom so not a lot of privacy and two of the bedside drawers were broken.
Friendly welcoming staff, room service great, lovely food, fab location.
Room was not ready on arrival at almost 5pm we were given our key but cleaners were still at work corridor was ashambles with dirty laundry ect, we complained and were quickly given another room on a different floor, only 2 cleaning staff cleaning after a wedding day before.
The room was clean if not very basic.
The bed was the worst we have slept on in any hotel. The price was of the room was ok and the hotel could be really beautiful if it was updated. The decor is old and worn and there is a musty smell in the bar/restaurant area
Staff as efficient and friendly as previous visit
Menu a little lacking in finesse given the local competition
I enjoy the food and location as I often bring my bike and go for a ride in the evening .
Fan in the bathroom would not switch off on the first night but was fixed the next night. The staff are a bit random in the sense attentive one minute then not the next.
Improving all the time!
Excellent location, very friendly staff. The older part of the hotel is nicer than the new addition. We have stayed in that part previously. Minor issue with the room which was resolved by the hotel manager. All in all we were very happy and will stay again. Room rates are excellent value for money.
The newer part of the hotel is a bit lacking in character and tired in places. When we stay again we will request a room in the original building. Stayed there previously for a wedding and it is lovely.
The wedding planners (lady with black hair and young dark haired man) looking after my friend's wedding were fantastic. The food was also great. Organisation and timekeeping of the wedding was spot on. The wedding planning really is the shining star of this place
Went for breakfast and asked for a menu to see what was on offer. Told that they have just redone the menu and not had chance to print it off yet. Massively unprofessional. The rooms were functional but tired. The water pressure was none existent. I went to ask when my room would be ready and this took three trips to the reception because the receptionist coild not have been less interested and it was absolutely obvious. And i was told i needed to pay on arrival so went back to the reception with my card and was then told to pay on departure... Not great. The bar staff were rude to those of us who mistakenly stood on the wrong side of the bar to be served (in the restaurant area). If it wasn't for the wedding planners I'd have rated staff poor.
The meal was nice.
1. Could not get hot water for shower, there was no pressure in hot water tap so spoke to reception had to move from suite to non suite (downsized). 2. Location not well signed posted and lead upto hotel is a narrow dirt track.
