The location was great and really quiet. The room was great value for money and provided for all of our needs. I would definitely stay here again.
The cleaners came round at 9am on a Sunday morning, it was lucky that we were checking out of the hotel early. Also the room was roasting over night which would be great in the winter but in summer it did keep us both up in the night.
friendly staff, location good for this visit to the area.
getting up at 5am to go to work
The staff were excellent and the meal we had in the evening would take a lot to beat.
The breakfast left a lot to be desired.
Food both at the a Grill and wedding reception was excellent, my partner is vegetarian and he stated meal at the wedding was very good much better then he usually is presented with
Room was very hot at night we opened window however were kept awake as the rain water was dripping loudly over the over grown blocked gutter
Lovely beautiful hotel. The bed was really comfortable. I loved the bedside tables with their old quaint unique style. All of the staff members work to a high standard and had a happy and friendly approach. Would be happy to recommend to anyone looking to stay there.
One downside was that there was a few layers of dust in certain places of the room, which is not good for any one with dust allergies. The soap dispenser was also empty and had to use shower gel. It's not great for mobile signal indoors and the hotel wifi, even though was free, was not very strong back in the room.
Good nights sleep, bed comfortable.
Tea cup dirty, teaspoon dirty, had to ask how to turn bedside lights on, that was located on a contraption between the beds, one of them wasnt working and a member of staff removed the bulb, I hope no-one puts their fingers in there as it wasnt replaced..
Shower's in 2 rooms not very good. No phone signal & no internet throughout hotel
Helpfulness of staff Convenient location Comfortable bed
Standard rooms look tired One light bulb not working Dining room area grubby Noise in corridor into early hours from wedding party guests
Comfy bed. Quiet room. Hotel style and furnishing.
Worn towels with holes in. Broken sink plug. Main bedroom lights not working. Found out later that they were switched on from a control box. There should have been instructions about this in the bedroom.
Great staff. Quaint surroundings
Could not open a tab due to bank problems. Very noisy at the time of my stay and drinks prices were slightly more expensive than other hotels
Friendly, efficient staff - Evening meal - Comfortable bed - Ease of access to Motorway -
Dust on venetian blind - Ditto in extractor fan - Concerned about 'Japanese knotweed' in garden outside
rooms were clean and comfortable in a quiet part of the hotel. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Cannot comment on food as we left quite early and did not have breakfast. Would stop there again overnight.
there was a funny smell in our part of hotel. Think because it is an old manor house and a little damp. Drinks quite expensive. Would not stay for longer than one or two nights though.
Staff were really helpful and friendly. We were attending a wedding at Holland Hall and , stuck in a traffic jam realised I forgot my shirt. On phoning the hotel to explain, the owner went to the local store and got a shirt for me - brilliant. Reception staff were wonderful and friendly bar staff. Room was spotless. Can't fault this hotel.
Quiet location, friendly helpful staff.
Exclusive use for a wedding venue. Didnt see Amy other guests other than those at the wedding.
A little slow serving the food.the price of a soft drink at the bar was high making it more expensive if you have children.
We were treated like royalty from the minute we arrived. All of our needs were met without question, including my need for air conditioning. We enjoyed everything about our stay! We will be back!
Very attentive helpful staff, good location 5 mins from M6 (although last 400yds was down a little lane so without sat-nav might not find it as easily). Rooms very spacious. Lots of free parking space, good wi-fi. Easy to relax, good food, good bar, good location for a morning run!
Friendly and helpful staff
We where greeted very pleasantly at reception by a very nice lady where we made payment and was told where our room was. The surroundings of the hotel was nice too. Nice team members at the bar and quite calming.
I was a bit disappointed when I got to my room, I booked the superior double room, for the price I paid I wasn't expecting spectacular. The shower was cold and kept going off and on. Also our view was the top of a roof... couldn't see 1 bit of out side. I think it's a good stay in that room for a overnighter say if your going to town drinking but for anything longer I'd ask for a different room.
The food was anazing. Room clean and comfortable.
The price of the drinks! The fire alarm going off twice.
Brilliant stay. We went to a wedding and all staff were very helpful, expecially the Manageress. The drinks were a bit expensive.
5minutes from Junction 26 on M6. Very good ensuite with bath/ shower. Coffee/tea making facilities in room. English breakfast excellent plus buffet and at only £10. Per person, very good value.
We had standard room which felt little "tired", although offered all, facilities, including iron board/iron.would need to upgrade if requiring air conditioning. Fortunately early July temperatures were ok on our overnight visit.we arrived late, about 11pm but no facilities available eg bar at that time.
The style of the room, the location and the cleanliness
Room was a bit small as we had booked the superior double was expecting a bit more space
Staff and environment
Noisy fan at bathroom Missing bulb in lamps Smelly carpets Unconfortable beds Non existing ventilation Noisy back yard
food was amazing bed was really comfortable
